WoG modding-creating new palette

I just drop this bottle into the ocean in hope that some Photosnow wizard could show us how it works:

1) Ok, so we got our unit from WoW model viewer, and we saved it as BMP, RGB format. The unit is using colors which may not show properly in Heroes, but weird.
2) Now the unit needs to be converted to indexed colors to fit into Heroes, so we have to create a new specific palette, using several screens (Darkloke said use screens from all angles)
3) The Photoshop is giving several options (using Image Ready):

a)Delete main palette
b)Add to the main palette
c)Create the main palette

4) Def maker is using its own palette, so will it delete our custom palette?

So, how it works? Anyone enough kind and skilled to post a short guide?
