A very cool mod and its idea! I wanted to play for Forge since I found out that it was originally in the plans of the developers.

I liked the "autumn" theme of the Elves (reminded of Disciples 2) from the second map and the updated Conflux.

I am looking forward to the continuation of the mod and the third part (map).

I wanted to ask: I noticed that Forge does not have a moat in the Citadel and Castle during a siege (there is no visible effect from the fact that units stand on the moat). Is this a bug or is the function just not implemented yet?

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't notice that moat format needed additional line to work since loooong time ago... What's funny, it's also the case for all modded towns I checked so far (including Cove, Pavillion, Courtyard or even newly updated Asylum*).

Anyways, replace this file to make the moat work in forge2k (in your mods folder - forge2k/Content/config/forge2k/town):
faction.json

(*that's a special case, but it's true that it doesn't work for 1.2. It will when 1.3 comes out. And by that time I'll make sure I'll update the format too.)

Does anyone know why the asphalt terrain can’t create any kind of mines? It makes Forge and Forge2k have no wood nor ore in the beginning, I checked the .jsons but I can’t find where is the problem.

You most likely have Stardust terrain. This mod overwrites Asphalt object names and thus some of them won't appear in the game or in the editor (mines, obelisks, signs and some mountains). I reported this issue to my good pal avatar (misiokles) and he will upload corrected files early tomorrow.

You can fix this yourself by replacing certain files in Stardust Terrain Mod folder (unpack this in your mods folder - stardust-terrain/content/config/stardust objects):

I'm releasing something for the other thing I'm dabbling in this weekend, but news about third AB map should follow shortly after. Thanks for your understanding.

Screenshot was made by fred79 but it's not a playable map. It's only to showcase his assets, not unlike what I did for Pavilion, in another thread.

And I'm not fan of blue flames, sorry ^^" I wanted to include the pillar as a special object though when making Vengeance of the Forest, but couldn't think of anything cool it could do at the time.

There's already been a month since the last tease... I'm terribly sorry for that.

But last Saturday I managed to go into a high gear, so when one adoring fan asked me what's the realistic date of release (while I was putting last touches), I gave him a realistic estimate - 2 weeks from now.

That is to say, the third map is complete by now, but it'll take a while to check if it isn't too hard or too easy (with help of my trusty testers) or it doesn't have any bugs or mishaps.

SO BE READY FOR SOME ROYAL SMACKDOWN ON 16.09.23.
