Poll Question: Favourite ruler on Game of Thrones
Exactly what it says. Which is your fave and why?
Mine is without a doubt Mance Rayder. King Beyond the Wall. A kindred spirit.

I didn't follow a lot but Stannis was pretty cool until the whole character assassination in "i burn my daughter" which was just done in purpose (much like the Daenerys "I burn everything even though i am already winning, because [no] reasons")
It seems according to GRR Martin ophilosophy, you can't be good, smart and powerful. So if you are already smart and powerful, you can't be good. If you are good and smart (like the dwarf guy), you can't be powerful. And if you are good and powerful, like Jon Snow, you must be really stupid.

Stannis burning his daughter Selyse is only in the show and it made little sense. But I was never a big fan of his. Out of the Baratheons, I actually think Renly would've been a decent king.

Tyrion should have been made a leader.

I agree. His father was a pretty good one too.

I've always liked the actor, and I think he was perfect for that role. The scene where he is introduced, processing a carcass while explaining the importance of family lineage to his son, and how family names are the only thing that lives on, was perfect. It's clear he knew what he was doing while processing; he could do it flawlessly while delivering his lines, also flawlessly. In my opinion, he should have gotten an Emmy Award for that scene alone.
