On topic of Armageddon in MP
Is Armageddon and Berserk usually banned in multiplayer? Sometimes DD and Fly are banned but the former?

I watched a bunch of different tournaments recently and the answer is no. Armageddon and Berserk are legit strategies, actually difficult to pull off in many games.

Difficult to pull off? If someone has no tactics you can berserk 4 creatures? With conflicting 4 units are immune to Armageddon and you can use energy ele to cast protection from fire on one more?

Berserk is easy to protect against in SoD, with Badge of Courage.
In HotA it's harder to guard against it, since Badge of Courage does'nt give mind spell immunity.
Fire Magic is also quite rare in multi, except for Luna of course.
Armageddon, yeah if you can get it of, all you really need is 1 Fire Elemental or 1 Earth Elemental. (Both can also be summoned.)
I once saw AI defeat about 25 Chaos Hydras with only a few elementals, only logical explanation is Armageddon... 
Of course if you want to use a full army with Armageddon, you need to Anti-Magic some units or have some uber artifacts like Power of the Dragon Father or Armageddon's Blade.
Still it is very easy to abuse Armageddon under some circumstances.
And yeah you can use Conflux level 4-7 creatures, but they can't learn Arma in their own town.

Yes, many things have to go "right" in order for the spells to be useful. Armageddon needs right units to be effective, so it's not really available for every town. Berserk on the other hand requires expert fire magic. Then both spells have actually surprisingly many resistances. In my experience, either spell ain't used that much, since they're not in the path of things players tend to rely in every other game.

Standard rules 20 years ago were no log no dip no 4th levelheroes as main and fly did are optional no hit n run Whats the rules now

Yeah I remember yet.. WTF Illusion world II (RoE engine with unupdated path).. I went to against strong AI hero with normal troops, but AI summoned Earth Elementals every round without casted Cure*, for example, when all troops are dead, and Earth Elementals are remaining, and then AI casted Armaggedon.. And quited to Tavern.. Later on Blind immune plus a Recanter's Cloak, if you beat the AI, it after AI uses Red Orb**
*RoE AIs don't use Earth, Water and Fire skill.. Air skill is the most AI hero skills..
**Thus Earth, Fire, and Water skills are useless, but AIR for DD, Fly..
AB/SoD AI uses skills, but not Red Orb, etc So I recommend RoE and WoG/ERA..

I remmember seeing a very interesting use of Armageddon in MP. Several months ago there was a large Polish tournament (Puchar Polski, not sure), and in the grandfinals, in one game on XL mirror (MT_Nebula, if I recall correctly) one of the players, Gongwazy (previously more known as being top 1-2 player on Duel) was down to one town and his opponent controlled the entire map. Gongwazy had a somewhat better hero/army, thus could not be attacked in his last town directly. After a few turns of regaining some of the towns and the subsequently loosing most/all of them, Gongwazy set up an Arma bomb with a hero with Expert Fire, Titan's Cuirass, Fire Orb and Artillery (so first move due to towers) in a town and halved his opponents army and subsequently won the game next turn. Truly a genius move, and very impressive to watch.
