The sole daughter in a large family of boys, I have benefited greatly from the expertise of my brothers in computers. Though I'm the older, "mature" one, I was instantly enticed going home to see my younger brothers all playing Warcraft together on various computers. After mastering that game, I was looking around the house game library for more, when I turned around to see my father standing there with a CD. "Heroes," he said with a gleam in his eye.
Soon I was back at my own house, building up a white Sorceress castle with dreamy soundtrack emanating from the computer, fighting battle after battle (da, da-dum, da, da!!! - who can forget that battle intro on HOMM1 and HOMM2). Even my young son got involved, always for some reason always wanting me to "recruit Dmitri." (And if Dmitri "died", there'd be a terrible row!)
Who would know I would turn into the worst Heroes addict of the entire family. My brothers are all in college or graduated now, and I'm on assignment overseas, playing the HOMMV campaign.
