YEAH I'M UPDATING!
I used to have a wittier and edgier page because, I don't even know myself, but it was so bad in quality that I always told myself I had to change it, so there we go.
I am Neraeus, proud denizen of Sicily, who at the time of making the account made a typo in his username, thus christening my self as Neraus, which always makes me question where is my attention headed to when I do things.
I have a certain history of making inflammatory remarks in defense of Catholicism, since it's a subject quite close to me, also, Sicilian.
I also lament every other day the state of my nation, which is Sicily of course, even though many smartasses will immediately reply "But you're Italian", but let's be honest, we Sicilians are a different beast than your average Italian, we have our own language, culture, cuisine, we even have a flag and used to have the oldest parliament in Europe, but all of that is thrown out of the window once we got annexed by the Piedmontese, who made quite a good work in erasing our history.
I also tend to make posts about the old Sicilian kings and how they were better than any other king in Europe, that's not a matter of taste, that's how it is, top the achievements of King Frederick I and King Frederick II (Or Emperor Frederick II if you're a German and King Frederick III if you're from the rest of the world), but alas, even though we've been among the great, we are now condemned to live in the ashes of our past.
And then there's my more frequent posts about culinary purity, because I get provoked a lot in that regard, and everybody knows Italians (especially Sicilians) are pretty touchy when it comes to food.
For this reason I'll leave you with a quote of every Southern nonna: "It's one thing that they can't cook, but they [foreigners] don't know how to eat!"
