New Revolutionary Advanced Classes Idea
What if your heroe's got influenced\connected with certain factors of the game to get advanced classes? What if your hero can go into the "General" class after being in many battles. What if your Sorcerer can go into Archmage class after casting and learning many spells?
this IS my idea.
The System
A hero is influenced by certain factors. The influence "piles up" and once he reaches 100 of a certain influence type your hero gets this influence's advanced class. Example: Say you have a Cleric hero, this hero has seen many battles and fought more than casted spells, this hero's "Combat" influence reaches 100% and he/she becomes a "Cleric Paladin" or "Warrior-Priest".
Influences
Combat - Influenced by: seeing battles, fighting rather than casting spells, and learning combat skills,
Magic - Influenced by: learning spells and magic skills, and casting spells.
People\Diplomacy - Influenced by: Staying in a certain town for long, and learning Nobilty skills.
If a Lord hero reaches 100% diplomacy, would he become a "Lord Lord"?
Ofcourse not! Each basic class will have a "influence allignment" which desides what is their base influence.
So after getting 100% diplomacy a Lord would become a King.
And after reaching 100% magic a Cleric woulf become an Archmage. ETC.
And after a hero becomes a General, can he become a "General Archmage"
No. After reaching an advanced class, heroes will lose their influence ernage.
The Classes
-Diplomacy-
Lord heroes - King
Might and Magic heroes - _____ Lord
-Combat-
Might heroes - General(Good)\ Warlord(Evil\Neutral)
Magic heroes - _____ Commander
-Magic-
Might heroes - Enchanter(Good)\ Sorcerer(Neutral)\ Heretic(Evil)
Magic heroes - Archmage

reminds me of a small rpg called dragon court, where you had a chance of some stat increasing depending on how you solved the encounters with random monsters.
btw i suggest having a possibility to bribe creatures for free passage (unless disabled by the mapmaker). there could be other situations where bribe could be reasonable, e.g. guards of mines (so you could do some action like flagging rather than just passing the area guarded by the monsters), or buying something that is guarded by the monsters. all kinds of bribing negotiations might increase the diplomacy skill of the hero.
this is imho a very interesting idea, i hope it will find it's way to the basic concepts and wishes thread after some discussion. much more rp than with random skill offering, at the same time it doesn't seem to compromise the strategical spirit of the game.

I didn't really get what were you suggesting, Gerdash, did you mean having "Charmer" as an advanced class?
BTW, I thought of adding Good/Evil and Morale/Spirit, But I kinda didn't have any factors for em'.
