A new crazy faction (purely for amusement)

Upon seeing so many suggestions for new towns and factions, I'd like to suggest a new town too, but it's more for amusement than anything else.

The new faction that I will like to propose is the Alchemists. Much like the Wizards in H5, this new faction believes in no true God. But unlike wizards, they are believed unorthodox in the society. They are not evil. Just a weird group of people who enjoys performing experiments in the hope of finding the Philosopher's Stone. While occasionally their experiments produced extraordinary effects, there are equal number of occasions when their experiments backfires.

Racial Characteristics
The main characteristics of this faction is the unpredictability (and hence for amusement than gameplay). Creatures can deal double damage on occasions, but on other occasions, they are only able to due half damage (much like good luck and bad luck in one body). Similarly, the hero can cast spell at double effect on some occasions, or at no effects on others. Their racial characteristics will be built on such unpredictability.

Some possible Racial Skills
Phlogiston- During their extensive experiments, they found an easily combustable substance, called phlogiston. This substance burns with the effect of adding mass to the body. -- Deals massive fire damage to creatures around target friendly creature, but decrease the iniative of the creature by 50% for 1 round.

Astrology- During their intensive studies, they unravelled the mysteries in the stars, allowing them to predict the outcome of a battle. But on occasions, they may be wrong. -- Target creature gets a 50% chance of evading the next attack or gets 50% more damage on the next attack.

Philosopher's Stone (uncomplete) - The closest to the philosopher's stone that any alchemists have obtained. But as it is, the stone is still incomplete -- Target creature gets 50% chance of invunerability for one turn (it will not take any damage for one turn), or he will not be able to move for one turn.

Hope that you will join the fun adn drop in some suggestions. I am really poor at coming out with new creatures, so hope that you can contribute some ideas here. There will be no good ideas or bad ideas. Just crazy ones. Thanks in advance.

Lvl 7: Giant evil tomato - has 15000HP but deals 1-2 damage, special ability - Uberroll - rolls around and damages everyone on the battlefield
Upg. Giant evil pineapple - has 20000 HP, 50-60 damage, but it damages everyone whenever it attacks (even friendly units)

Well, this isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I'm trying to focus on the unpredictablity. That is, while the creatures and the hero are very powerful to some effect, their ability can backfire. It's actually an inspiration from AD&D, where they have a school of spell, called chaotic spell. There is a random 100 effects to a spell. Thus when you cast the spell, you will not know what will the effect be. It was very hilarious to play with the chaotic spells, but I thought that having 100 random effects is too many.

Wel, ok, add the Big Red Button ability to the pineapples: each turn they have a 10% chance to turn into unupgraded gremlins for the rest of the battle

Homoculus I think. From Fullmetal Alchemist?

I am quite bad at thinking of creatures. That's why I was hoping that people can post in here. I know that the idea is rather crappy. But I feel that having random effects can be fun at times. Not for serious play of course.

Why vegetable? Vegetables have nothing to do with the topic! Well but if the idea of the topic is not going to be respected, I guess I'll drop the thread. You can continue with your giant tomatoes that turns into gremlins or vegetable conflux that your creatures can eat, if you want.

I know that you have been joking. I posted in the heading that this thread is meant for amusement, but I hope that the basic rule that I had posted should be obeyed. The creatures/ abilities should have at least some randomness involved. They can be uber powerful, or uber useless at the same time. There can be 1000 possible effects occuring when a creature attacks, and in the process morphed to that giant tomato, I'm fine with that.

Alright then. Since everyone here likes a vegetable conflux, guess I just have to drop my idea of the Alchemist. So a vegetable/ fruits conflux it should be.

Hero: Farmer/ vegetable man

Story: In the year 842 YSD, during the invasion of the demons in the Holy Falcon empire, the farms in the land were brutally devasted. In desperation for survival, the farmers in the Holy Falcon empire experimented with new means of farming, only to find that the crops have mutated. With the lost of hope, despair, and the hatred for both the devils and the weakness of the Holy Falcon empire, they turned to Malassa, the Dragon of Darkness. With their newly created vegetable conflux, now they are ready to fight back.

Creatures:

Mutant tomatoes/ killer tomatoes ( Coz it reminds me of "The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" cartoon series in the past)

Abilities: Vitamin A - Target creature lose iniative and reduced damaged due to weakness, due to the lost in appetite, nausea and vomitting and weakness due to an overdose of Vitamin A. If target is a shooter, their range penalty is increased to 75% due to better eyesight.
