Necropolis Town (better or worse than before?)

I have created this  new thread to gather opinions from all of you HOMM fans (especially experimentated ones > the ones that played all HOMM's from HOMM1 'till now like myself)about the new Necropolis Town.
First of all I would like to know if any of you have a complete and final!!!  list (I saw lots of Necropolis configs all a little bit different from each other) on the creatures from Necropolis Town. And belive me I'm not the only Necropolis fan that wants answers at this question!

Well... The list is:

skeleton: level 1
imp: level 1
vampire: level 3
venom spawn: level 3
devil: level 4
bone dragon: level 4

but there are also creatures like:

zombie: level 1 or 2
cerberus: or 2 or 3
lich: level 2 or 3 or not in the game
ghost: level 2 or 3

they can probably be summoned somewhere...

maybe I'm wrong but...

level 1: Imp, Zombie
level 2: Cerberus, Ghost
level 3: Venom spawn, Vampire
level 4: Devil, Bone dragon

...the Skeletons will propably be only available through Necromancy... and Lich may switch places with the Vamp...

Do you mean that it is posible that Vampires could not be in HOMM4 or that Vampires could not be recruted from Necropolis? (both ways s*cks! I don't want this!!!)

Vamps...

...come to think of it... when did vamps worked for anyone but themselves? vamps could easily be neutrals... I don't even think them out of the game...

1st-I don't like not undead creatures on necropolis, they have enough undead to create a undead only town not that satan/necro mix.
2nd-Like most creatures on heroes 4 I just don't like how they look (except the nightmare), heroes 3 are tons better (in my humble opinion)
3rd-Venom Spawn is one of the more stupid creature ever (together with that stupid sea monster they might enter the guiness book has the most stupidy creature ever created)

YES! Finally someone agrees with me that the artwork for the creatures in Homm4 is worse than 3. NEw engine requires this kind of graphics blah blah? Gimme a break!

LOL.. not that I cuold do much better, but they did sooo well in Homm3. And it's not that they're more colorful, their designs are horrible with lack of detail and imagination in some parts.

...just a wild guess...

...but would it be possible (in a very mysterious way) that Demonology gives you Mummies?  of course that would mean the mummy is the same level as the skeleton so.. forget it...

Excuse me? Did I hear it right? It would be great atmosphere in h4 necropolis if there would be one! What makes that atmosphere? There are no tombs, no graveyards, no smoke, no dark skies, NO NOTHING except a stupid castle in the shape of a skull...ha, that's old...Maybe they'll finish the job with some happy tunes to go with it inside the castle... poor necros, they're really done...

And after all these, no vampires, but a green cactus! Damn, are they thinking or what? If you really want the cactus make him a neutral and place it's dwelling far in the desert where my hero will never set foot!!! And bring the vampire back, for Devil's sake!

I must disagree. Atmosphere of heroes 3 necro was great, the looks were great and the music fits quite good.
If heroes 4 necro will or not have a better atmosphere will only be seen in the game where de combo of animations/looks/music will be seen properly. For now the heroes 4 towns do look very worse then the heroes 3 ones, but maybe de combination of all it's elements save them.

Of course it was only my opinion (I almost fall asleep when playing it... boring... zzz..). I don't know what screenshot you're using vlad, but on my there is a graveyard - the zombie dwelling.

Vlad, the removed atmosphere for the town pictures is not anything which is Necropolis specific. It affects all towns and makes them mush more boring.

You can really ask what they were thinking when they decided on having the buildings on the same place for all towns, especially for creature dwellings.

We pretty much know that demonology is a magical skill that ups the power of your death spells, in a similar way that earth magic ups the power of your earth spells in H3.

I doubt the lich will be lvl 3, because then there will be two shooters at the same level. Not impossible but unlikely.

By the way I can see complaining about the venom spawn, but why the sea monster? I think the sea monster looks fine.

Sure, what I said for the Necropolis goes for all the other castles.The unique image is gone.
The idea of placing the buildings in the same place in all towns is of course bad.What bothers me even more is the whole aspect: those are not towns but expositions; three buildings on top level, then four on the next one, five on the next, and so on....for every castle the same.Why should each building be fully visible and placed at equal distances from another? Is it a town or a plantation?
I'll tell you what they were thinking when they did that: not a thing. That's the greatest lack of imagination ever to be seen in heroes series! And let me tell you one more thing: no combination of music or animation is going to compensate for the image.

Besides the 'more friendly to new players' argument, there's actually one more reason/thought behind the placements: All the towns are able to upgrade from the outpost towns, which probably already have some structures build (hall, castle, tavern etc..) on specific places. So when you change an outpost town to fx a Necropolis, it would be unlogical to move the shipyard or the castle to the opposite end of the screen. Therefore; all the six towntypes are results of the same outpost town type, and loose the unique style of H3.
