Stealing artifacts/items from Heroes during Combat

(an idea from Final Fantasy)

When playing with thieves - they can have this ability if they are near a hero to pickpocket/steal stuff from him - like artifacts/items.

Stealing from units can be also dangerous to some of them - like stealing mechanical parts from mecha-dragon can destroy it (only one in stack). This actually can be not stealing but a mechanical troop which can unmount the dragon (i don't like this part so much).

That's a fine idea, I also thought of something a bit different.Well, partially I was inspired by a screenshot, where it seems that some neutral troops are guarding an artifact (on the screen appears a big clover-leaf that looks like an artifact). So, if some troops could sneak behind the defenders and grab it then return unharmed to your troops you could end the battle then and retreat.

This feature is already included in homm4. Thieves can sneak past low level creatures and steal whatever they are guarding.

I think that you should not be able to steal items from a hero in battle. It is to unrealistic. It is like a creature should crawl up to a hero in the middle of battle, with all the titans and trolls around him figthing like crazy, steal lets say a ring or something, and then crawl back undetected and give it to his own master.  That dont make sense even in the world of heroes.

It is highly impropable that you can steal from hero during the battle when he or she is still living. But it could be nice that your hero could take items from dead enemy hero while in battle.

Only the items that are easy to take from hero could be taken during battle. You can pick, for instance, heroes weapons, shields, shoes and helmets but not platemail or anything that is dressed on torso or legs. Undressing and/or dressing the platemail while in battle takes too much time.
