What would happened if homm3 was a rts?
What would happened if homm3 was a similiar game to (for example) age of empiree 2?

Without turns? I think it is interesting idea. Heroes are like chees. You can think, not fast speed. If it will be real time is another gameplay. A lot of units shuld be controled by AI because you can control army using one hand. Agility is needed. Rather another game in M&M world. It must be planned as rts from start.

As someone who primarily plays RTS, I concur that HoMM3 is fine where it is. Heroes and Civilization were shakin' the TBS genre, and helped raise newer generations who now try to make some themselves, like GalCiv and Endless Legend. Other than a few rough edges on the balance side, HoMM3 has perfect gameplay as-is and, don't care if this is branded fanboy-like or not, I don't quite want to imagine the game released in any other genre. Officially.
