Suggestion for a new Subtourney.
Hia all
I know that with heroes4 out and all there HAS to be new initiatives towards heroes3 from time to time. Well thats just my oppinion. I dont know if this has been up for discussion allready but anyhows i'LL put in my 7 pence ( still not worth a dime ).
What if...( dont flame me yet ) we had ppl registrating for a 1o1/3o3/2o2 ( that could be talked about ) and then start a tourney called ...?????????...
Then we could have some *outsiders* ( non players, someone the tourney-Admin's trust ) picking maps. Then have someone else to pick ( randomly ) the opponants/partners.
I know, I know..( dont flame ) many would say ; NO WAY ! I dont like him/her.
But think about it, that way we could ( sorta ) combine the game/fun/points/tourney...and the ( if a newbs if randomly picked to play with a vet. 3o3/2o2/etc.) old Training Ground concept.
I haven't given much thought to the ruels/points...etc. but at first hand I like it ( and NOT coz I wrote it ) .
I think we can have ( atleast some ) of the mystification of ppl's 30/1 win record *releasted* this way. In other words, to have the gaming experiance ( vet vs. non vets ) spread more ecually. Think about it, if you have some cool tricks...you want to *cleanse* yourself of some false alligations about...well unfair gamming...this would be the place..right ?
Well as I said..just a pocket full of 7 pence

hola
well, the problem i see ( given my limited on-line exp. so far lol ) is any thing that needs 2 have more than two players commiting to a game, never seems to get of the ground. A 3o3 game, trying to get six ppl online at the same time is almost impossible lol. Even the 2o2 tourneys are really hard to get going. Don't mean to put a downer on things, thats just been my brief experience, and things start to get more complicated when ppl start to drop out after they have registered for the tourney. All in all, i think only 1o1 games/tourneys have a chance of succeding.
A big 1o1 tourney would be cool, but a tourney that includes many styles of map and play, ie both set and random maps both open and closed !
I had an idea about a World At War tourney, where all the maps are real places played on a big world map. Maybe the major world cities could be set maps, the lesser know areas of the world ( deserts/north pole/jungle etc ) could be random templates and the seas could be water based maps.
It would be a huge undertaking to do but would be great fun.
Maybe when ppl register to play, they have to start in there own country also lol.
Has there ever been a tourney like this ?
ps. are there any toh players that live in the north or south pole lmao.

acu come on, that wasnt necessary now was it?
We all know that you and UT aint the best of friends but doing this to one of her threads isnt the nicest thing to solve it.
So take your feelings for each other elsewhere please, as far as the tourney idea... i rather see a good veteran/n00b allied tourney than this because i also think that would keep this from certain peeps fighting with each other again.
How about checking up interest for a 2v2 tourney or just have the n00bs fight each other in a tournament without their teachers.
Or have a "footmen" only kind of tournament as a side kicker, because i guess there are many players who doesnt sign up because to the fact that they will get killed soon enough.
Just some ideas...
oh and a TC tournament would be kewl too! Tacticians Corner would make a great tournament... lets find out who the true master of the battlefield is =)

What a great idea. Just think how much a noob like me could learn playing along side a vet in a 2v2. being able to see their movement and their choises of what is a priority, would be of great benefit. If any vet wants more quality games there has to come a point where helping us noobs should be a consideration for the future of M&H.

If can't do the 2v2 training tourney I think a tourney for new players only would be nice. That way they can get experience in online play and have some games under their belts. And then after they move up in ranks can find some veterans that will play them and maybe even help them learn what they need that they haven't figured out already.
