Anyone heard of Liero?
Anyone Heard of Worms?
Well Liero is like worms but much more simpler. I'd recommend Liero rather than Worms because it is easier to play. I'll add a few screenshots so then you can see what I meen.
Liero is a fast paced action packed real time earthworm combat simulation game. The current version is 1.33, and i'm doubtful that the creator will make any more versions. The creator, Joosa Riekkinen, is based in Finland, but the game has become so popular that it has traveled to world wide fans like you and me. Liero is freeware, so feel free to download it, play it, and pass it around!

hmmm...It doesnt seem to work.....I start the program, and a cli window appears...then it dissapears...and nothing more happens.....

Lord lazy if you have winzip you have to create an exe file. First you go to actions then make exe file and simply follow the prompts.

Seriously...yes..I know how to extract files (I use WinRar BTW  )
The problem is...that once extracted..the game wont play...(the mapeditor works though.....)

OK. The People who cannot open Liero, listen to me. I don't care if you know how to extract files just do what i am about to tell you. For the people who have another unzipping product you need to download winzip. For the people that do, do this.
1. Go to the actions menu up the top.
2. Find the Make .Exe file. Click on that.
3. Where it says create exe file from, don't touch that and just click ok.
4.Next it will say where you want to create it. Click browse and choose the folder that you want to create it in.
5. Click unzip. If this has been done correctly it should say so and so files unzipped successfully.
6. Go to the folder that you have created the files in and find the Liero application.
7. Click on it. It should say loading sounds, animations etc and that they are all ok. Then it will say, underneath that, press any key. Do so.
8. If you have done what i have told you to do correctly you should now be playing the game, "LIERO".

Err... it helped nothing! When I click on the .exe file a blank black window opens for a couple of seconds before it closes. So I can't play it...

Just go to google and type in Liero then. You should find lots of alternative files.

you should go to the official website of every single game made by the creators of liero.
i think its www.d11clan.com (i think)
just search for 'D11 Clan' in google and from ther you can download other worm clones like:
Soldat
War Kurry (i reccomend it)
Wormz (***** 5 stars)
Liero (awsome)
and liero sequal
+ theres also levels mods weapons and other programs to download.

its an awsome website. except "wurmz!" (one of thier games)
isn't downloading for me.
oh. well
warkurry 2 is an awsome game, its like liero but you are squirrels.
warkurre 2 is the seqeul of warkurre 1 which is the seqeul of Liero itself.

Worms is the best, Soldat is amazing, Liero is also quite good. It doesn't run too well under XP, so you need to download a program called Wormhole and run the game through it.

Ah, how I love this little game! Too bad there havenīt been new versions since 1.33. And too bad it doesnīt work properly in my XP.
I remember making lots of new weapons, mods and other stuff to it with lierokit and lierohacker. I even made a working lightsaber with ability to block and reflect shots (like fan).
Anybody else who have made their own weapon packs?
