Let It All Hang Out
Are you feeling frustrated? Do you have a bunch of beefs that are just dying to come out into the open that you have never told anyone, things that fester in your subconcious waiting for the light of day? Here is your chance to bring them out in the open and air them before the public in the hope that at least by expressing, you will feel better. It may not change the world, but at least the world will know that you care! Here's my list:
1) waitresses that say "would you like some cheese and
mushrooms with that burger" without telling you they
cost almost as much as the original order.
2) Hockey players and team owners who have forgotten
to be grateful for having the chance to make money
from a game.
3) Drivers who cut me off only to slow down immediately
4) Politicians who talk of morals whilst feeding them
selves and their supporters from the public trough.
5) TV networks that put on 3 shows of a series in October
and don't continue until January
6) Someone who calls you on the phone, gets a call on
the other line and tells you they have to take it. (what,
I'm not amusing enough to keep your interest and why
did you call in the first place?)
7)Ashlee Simpson
8)Posters like me who take up bandwidth only because
they have nothing better to do.
9) Replacement cartridges for my printer that cost more
than the printer
10) Commercials before a movie(bring back cartoons)

wrestling fans who believe wwe "superstars" really fight there in ring. Some people (too much of them) just canīt find out the difference between acting and real life..
people who think good music is what they play on mtv, everything else sucks.
my friend who always explains me every simple aspect what Iīm watching. For example, if we are in cafe and Iīm looking at my cup for a second, I can hear: "Itīs a cup!". (Yeah, I didnīt know that..) Or if I watch the world outside from school class, I can hear: "Itīs a window!" That is irritating.
people who think their opinion is always the best one, without even listening to others.
maybe more will come to my mind later.

Some of my pet peeves
[Ratings]
= Not approved
= Irked
= Fed up
1. The radio station says it's gonna play a favorites song of yours and then nothing happens for the next several hours.
2. You try to converse meaningfully with a friend but the only thing the friend says in response is an off-topic comment regarding food.
3. The person sitting in front of you at mealtime chews food with the mouth open and makes those deliberate munching and slobber noises all the while.
4. Whenever you post something during an online discussion, someone keeps replying with negative and sarcastic comments, like your words aren't worth crap.
5. Almost getting hit by a car speeding down the campus parking lot.
6. Driver forgets to pick you up when you're waiting all across town.
7. Bus driver treats you like dirt.
8. The bus you need to transfer to takes off seconds before the your bus reaches the transfer point.
9. You yield your seat on the bus only to find that an overweight, cranky, ungrateful wheelchair passenger ends up taking your spot.
10. There's a family member who always seems to wait until you come home to finally use the bathroom.
11. A substitute teacher blindly assumes you're a troublemaker and gives you your first detention since your early years in elementary school.
12. You go out of your way to help somebody but don't even get recognized for it afterwards.
13. You're unaware that you're walking with your backback open and nobody decides to tell you until ten plus minutes have passed.
(There's obviously more to add, but for a later time)

Shiva has opened the box...
... but I'll be good
1-a) People who refuse to listen. They pretend to listen, might even nod along - but you know that they're really just planning what they're going to say next.
-b) Akin to those from 1-a, those people who do listen, but they won't hear what you're saying, they will hear a distorted version that supports whatever it is they are choosing to believe.
2) People who put down others to make themselves look better.
3) People who use cellphones in public - this goes twofold for those who make a cutesy smile at you and whisper "sorry, i have to take this one!"
4) People who won't just admit that they don't understand something, but will pretend as though they do and basically just repeat whatever someone else has said before
*hmmm, am I a people hater?*
5) Hiccups!
6) "Scary" movies that have no plot, and really nothing even remotely frightening about the storyline - but are just a series of sequences of quiet music and camera angles not quite showing you what's around the corner ... then WHAMMO!! a giant noise to startle you out of your seat. I'd sooner watch that 'can you find the ghost' thing online for a minute than sit through 2 hours of the new 'horror' movies
I've about a million (or so) more, but will stop for now

Competetive Parents
Today I took my daughter to Kindergarten and joined the circle of moms huddled together against the wind waiting for the buzzer to go off. Mary's mom, with Mary standing next to her hugging her leg, told us all about how Mary had her very first ballet lesson yesterday. She told us how Mary slipped a few times and had trouble keeping up but she looked so adorable in her little tutu, Mary and her mom were both beaming as she told the story.
Then Krissy's mom piped in, she had a look on her face like she'd just been sucking a lemon. She let us know that Krissy had been in ballet for a year, and that Krissy was a natural, her ballet teacher always said what a delight it was to teach such a talented little girl like Krissy. My jaw hit the ground, as did those of the two other moms next to me.
Mary's mom looked so completely sad, it hurt to look at her, and she looked at her daughter right away to see if she picked up the nature of that remark. Mary didn't seem to see what Krissy's mom was saying, but she did see that it hurt her mom. So Mary said to her mom "Don't worry Mom! I still have fun at ballet and wanna go again!"
So i said to her "Mary, that's the very best attitude! If you're not doing it for fun, then maybe there's something a little bit wrong there right?" I said it in one of those silly voices that we grown ups use with kids to make them laugh, and she did - so I was relieved.
The other two moms piped in their agreement, and Mary's mom gave me a greatful look and smile. Krissy's mom on the other hand didn't seem so impressed, if looks could kill, I wouldnt be telling this story
Krissy's mom snapped "well I just want Krissy to be the best"
Another of the mom's said "Best what? Dancer or person?"
I'd have high-fived her right there but it seemed it might be a bit uncouth to do that
This is the same thing we see with all these sports-parents that become abusive of their own children or others - that will fight amongst each other and officials.
Its just such a disgusting thing to see. I will never understand how parents can look at their children as little Trophies to shine up and measure against others.
I don't know how any parent can be that way, is it because that's how they were raised and they don't know anything else? or is it because they feel they themselves 'failed' and are trying to push their children into a life they wanted for themselves?
Either way the chance of a positive outcome is pretty slim. Generally these kids will either end up snotty little self absorbed brats, or they will grow up with inferiority complexes because they can never live up to the pressure their parents put on them. Then there are the rare cases that will rise above it, only to feel embarrased by their parents for acting in such an abhorrent manner.
It just makes me sick.
And that's my rant for today.

PDA sucks
Rating:
I'm getting sick of witnessing PDA among my age group, now days. I find them everywhere. The tall couple kissing right in front of me during lecture. The boy and the girl at the bus stop with arms wrapped sensually around each other. The girl on an afternoon bus whose resting her head in her boyfriend's neck area.
Make it all stop!
Uh, getting back to exhibiting maturity here, there are some of us in this world who want to have girlfriends, boyfriends, or ladybugs ... but just can't for various reasons. So it's depressing enough not having someone to call your own when suddenly this happy couple comes along and makes it all flashy right in front of you.
So. Incredibly. Irritating.

New hate
1) Pills for emotional disorders that weren't disorders until the pharmaceutical companies realized that they can make money off them - and then the pills for the side effects from the pills that we didn't need in the first place.
2) the ads for these pills, which generally appear on TV showing sad looking people and an irritating voice over saying "Do you feel hungry when you haven't eaten? Are you tired when you don't get enough sleep? Do you sometimes feel sad?" and then they give you the product name, without actually saying what the disorder is... and finally the the long rambling list of the billion 'possible' side effects from these drugs.
3) the fact that our school systems now actually SUGGEST we give drugs to our children for things such as, being silly - being distracted... being KIDS!

I hate living in a society in which the average joe and jane hate the system but are powerless to do anything..
example:
gas prices, political scandal (or even just politics), bureaucracy, office politics or drama,
manipulation, abuse of power, scare tactics, descrimination, preferential treatment....
my hate is based on my lack of control of my own destiny...

And I hate that common sense isn't actually so common...
I wasn't trying to tell you anything there I was just thinking of how so many people in the public eye (for example) can do many good things, yet that's never what you hear about - you hear the judgements and the scandals. In example Angelina Jolie - she does all sorts of goodwill work, donates her time and money to help starving children, has even rescued two children from a likely short and miserable existance.. but what do we hear most about? She's banging Brad Pitt!! She stole Jennifer Aniston's Husband... ohhhh, evil woman!
Actually all celebrity gossip makes my hate list, I think its cruel that people who choose to entertain for a living should have to sacrifice their privacy.
But also, not only celebrities, in politics as well - if someone in power makes a decision there will always be those who oppose it. And those people will yell and scream and sling mud, yet the majority, who are fine with the idea stay mum.
It just annoys me that its so easy to voice discontent, but apparantly so hard to show support.
