My Personal White List

Here's the deal , I sucide alot thats a fact  after which boom automatic loss (which really don't care) but game ends there which takes all enjoyment of the game (gotta find new game ect and sometimes you just don't have enough time to start a new ) , Well SOME people will offer a load but guess what i don't think its "nice" of them my personal thinking is 1 load per game is a MUST(personally i would give more but i will not ask more from anyone) , This thread is not to argue about that i am well aware some people think its Right some people think its wrong ,personally i don't enjoy a game ended in day 3 ,4,5 or think its a "game" Even i more don't enjoy a game of 3 months that was ended before the 2 players fought , ANYWAY please this is not an argue about loads thread this thread is to help ME enjoy the game more so please anyone that agrees to play with 1 load must rule post here so i know who to play with ..

loosing army is part of the game, and having one load is not the point. If you think that you will loose with neutrals, just don't fight with neutrals, that's part of strategy in heroes.

I will almost always offer a reload if someone makes a goof. Almost everyone I play with regularly will return the favor on the rare occasion that I goof... usually its silly stuff like a mouse misclick that sends my hero 5 days into no mans land before I can stop him from moving. etc.

But honestly that is something that should always be up to me and my opponent.  I dont think anyone should HAVE to offer a reload. Suiciding is the gray area for me.  If its day 3 and they died trying to take there 2nd town then, reload is no problem... However, if they die while taking on a week 2-3 battle week 1 cause they are trying to rush the map etc...then less likley to be free with the reload. Bottom line...if you die do to some goofy circumstances at town which could normally be taken ....is far different then taking a big risk trying to gain advantage by taking a relic week 2 day 2...then cant feel sorry for you... You risked and should suffer the concequences.

Hope that clears it up.

Those are my 2 sense anyways...

I have suicided/flee i think 3 out of my last 5 games.
Latest one with lunaticsd in day 4 at bfh which i tried to hung on for 1 more turn but lost to a morale.
I used to play with loads but then i think need to learn how to judge fights as part of the game. Reporting a loss in 10-20min is hard, but that's life. There is always option to flee
I think there is no way to suicide in week 1, in any case, the hero can always choose to flee. it will just be a few days lag in the game. And that will be equals to punishment for misjuding a fight?
And if opponent clicks on end turn accidently, then probably a reload is more reasonable imho. Normally that happens 1-2 min after the turn. Or can request for screenshot.

I'm not sure, but I'd think this thread is refering more to the Auto loss which comes from "the Hero" tournament should a player lose their hero at any point during the game.

I don't like to offer restarts myself for anything other than a dumb mistake, IE clicking something by mistake not attacking something and realizing after it was a mistake.  Mainly because I lose my army enough times a game that a mistake on your part won't hurt you at all.

I've lost two games to 'errors' on my part, which would have been nice to restart for me, but I refuse to do so.  Its been that way since I remember playing my first homm3 game with Lone Chinchilla, and losing on day 4 week 1.

The more rules you put up, like restart, the more it becomes a 'he said she said' thing.  And since I run this tourney, I must follow ToH's standards.  Yes, I've lost in hero on week one due to my stupidity, or some others would say 'luck'.  But its my problem, not my opponents'.

He-he i really wanna make differ between "risk-and losing" (I get flee 3 times per game when play for dungeon Vs Boxa nad Betruger, but manage to win ) and cases, when someone forget buy warmachines after he flee (Just have 2 cases in a row with Val and Betruger, ask them to load and they refuse)

Iask reaload 2 times whaen my main lose 2 turn becouse misclicked and go in wrong direction

Proof is easy - 2 creeenshots, and i hate misclicks...

Also Nevermind mistake makes me laugh a lot: He dismissed Main hero, when he wanna dismiss some creatures... (Hope he is not angry on me, becouse i tell it) Of course i give him load.

Of course i gladly give opponent reload if he lose to neutrals, becouse wanna emulate "ultimate opponent", but never asked load if lose by risk, not by misclick

He-he i think that more options than, "let opponent" load can be interested

1) Opponent not let load, but if you submit lose, he can finish game with you.

2) Opponent wishes replay final battle or end of game from some point after reporting. There is so many interesting situations can appeared...

It gives a lot of enjoing and expirience as for me. If game not have some dilemas it is worst game even if you win easily.

Heh that wasn't entirely my fault  what happened was a little lag made screen freeze just as i about to double click unit and somehow unit wasn't selected and i rushed to click the dismiss button and didn't notice the screen was still hero screen and ofcourse i never read the are you sure you wanna dismiss bla bla bla and always click yes and boom hero gone ,

OK now seems ghast and maybe jinxer are people i can play with any more out there?

P.S i wasn't clear yes there are situations where load should not be given I also never ask a load (unless really stupid mistake) but this "rule" which is not actually a rule more like a standard of playing has infinite number of possibilities but for some players you can say i suicided and they say gg never ask what happened never consider a load.. Thats anyone's right i'd just prefer not to play with those people since we have different views of how things are.

c'mon! i nearly suicided 100 of times and never beg someone to reload, just like Vesuvius said, it's my business not to suicide, and if i do it's my problem how to get over it, it's just part of the game. And one more thing: why everyone is in such a hurry and wanna rush another person?...slow down and you won't suicide! that's all!

If you wanna play like "everything is perfect without loosing an imp" and 2 heroes after a month, fight with each other with FULL BIG armies (without any losses) why not play a duel?, playing on the map is useless if you want to have a reload when suicide, play duels.

He-he ,SX seems player mastery is decide where loses need to advance hero great, where need avoid (Seems Only necros is canplay without them).

Play "battless without risk an losses" really dull for me.

And when dull, i make lot mistakes in Micromanagement

Of course i gladly report loss (Another time i can take pts back for sure) but sometimes just Wery interesting in alternative ways, becouse still learn how to play

i offer reload only when im sure it wont affect the outcome

seriously now, when u take a chance i guess youre the only one responsible for this, dont rely on other "generosity" . Reload in case of a suicide its "begging" for my ears, so i never ask for a reload , it will ruin my pride , and i dont agree to give one to my opponent, we are men enough.

exception is when, accidentally , someone pressed end of turn twice, and because of the lag day passed instantely without do anything. this is understandable only if noticed right after the mistake, whne obviously never bad could happen few seconds after autosave.

i always want to have tight games, and good challengies, but there are some points when casualties in a hard fight could decide the game between two players of same skill. reload might avoid the loss and change the fate of the game which is not fair. i try to do my best without whinning, so i demand the same in return.

i case game crashed in fight player vs player, there are 2 options to replay : either to reproduce the same moves till the disconnection point , cause all morale/luck it stays as before (if the exactly same moves) option that i think its the best and fair, or second, try to have a brand new fight as it wasnt any before.(tho it could give space for unadequate comments, even unreasonable accusations). players should mutually agree for one or other option.

i still believe there is much honor among the toh players, and i never start a game with a new player having in mind he can be a cheater. time will tell if im wrong, but until then there is no reason to suspect. ways of cheating are much reduced here than it was in h4, but in h4 u could have checked enemy moves, here its a bit harder, more likely based on trust.

play with honor and be a good and entertaining partner and u'll get games anytime u want.

have a nice day

I dont know if this would be considered ethical or not but if someone screws up say (done it myself more than a few times) the losing player could report a loss and then continue from there as another game if both parties agreed to do that as a seperate game.

Of course if the game was interesting enough you could just report the loss and finish it for fun if your opponent was willing to oblige you.

Or as mentioned a merciful opponent might allow a reload

whatever

Reloads are for sissy's

If you attack something and get beat its part of the game.
