HoMM3 Demo help
Hello, I'm having trouble with the HoMM3 demo. Is it just me or is winning impossible?. I downloaded it to get acquainted with the game, before I recieve "Heroes III Complete" in the mail(eBay). The Scenario is only 4 weeks long (a month), to accomplish one of two goals - Either capture all towns, or erradicate all enemy forces. I can last up until the end, but there just isn't enough time to accomplish a goal. Am I to expect more of the same with the full version of the game?.

Nope, in the full version, most maps won't have time limit, so you can play the map as long as you want

Actually I played the demo back in '99, I wanted to get the game back then, but the stores where I live didn't have it in stock. I've also played the previous demo's (HoMMI & II). I like the turn-based games like Civilization too.
Thanks for the info people.

Heroes III -Map Editor
Hi everyone,
I have questions about Heroes of Might and Magic III complete edition. I would like to buy the game, because mine is broken, but I want to be sure there will be the map editor included,
because last time I bought Heroes of might and magic III from "Sold Out" and there was no map editor, which disappointed me greatly.
Please help me because I seek this information for several days and I haven't find anything. My native language is French so it's a little difficult for me to look in English.
Thank you to those who'll have the kindness to answer me. =)

Na the game doesnt usually put such short time limits on you. But the demo is beatable (Ive done so myself). Recruit plenty of heroes, assemble an army from their troops and take down the necropolis on your east ASAP (no later than week 1). This gives you another week and a half to go for the dungeon.

I don't know if Heroes III is still under copyright. 3DO went bankrupt thus the game became accessible via torrents or other. If I am wrong, delete this please. Did any company buy the license?

I'm pretty sure Ubisoft holds the copyright. At least, the Heroes III Complete box says, "©2000 Ubisoft Entertainment" on it.

I only started to play this great game about a month ago and played the demo quite a lot before deciding to buy the game.
I too found the demo very, very hard as it was difficult to try and remove both enemy factions and at the same time protect my town given the short time available.
I don't have very much advice to offer, I only managed to win the scenario on some very few occasions and I must admit I got lucky a couple of times. My advice is to buy the game itself though as it will provide you with very much entertainment - and it is SO addictive!

Yep, Ubisoft Entertainment holds the Rights to it. The copy of HoMM3 Complete that I bought, was an Ubisoft eXclusive (2 CDs).

Yeah, when you were a kid at about 8-10 and didn't understand crap. Everything was so awesome
But isn't WoG a rather decent follow-up and a new experience? Haven't played it myself but it looks like a new experience

Royal Griffins and Marksman. Go for them, and wipe the Necro out. And you should aslo try to take the abandoned gold mine to the north as soon as possible.

I've had HoMM3 Complete for a couple of days now. The scenario's included so I've been playing that. Haven't beat it yet, but I took out the blue team. The green team ends up taking alot of resources and pumps out heroes like mad.
Edit: I ended up beating it...
Total Time: 62

Yeah, the demo map gave me a lot of trouble when I first started playing it. It took me a dozen tries to beat the time limit, which reflects my inexperience with the 3rd game at the time. Nowadays, I play more aggressively, so it's not as hard as before. I might've beaten it on 200%, but I forgot my score. I ought to try it again.
