ok do this:
Select ARTILLERY with christian always, unless you get EARTH MAGIC or LOGISTICS.  This might help you clear the map faster so that you get more experience.

Wait with your ground troops unless youre attacking shooters, and shoot the enemies ground troops with your shooters while they walk towards your armie.

did that help?

Someone should make a sign that says "No Sir Stiven tossing" cuz its worse than spam.

the guys said good stuff. theres alot of other helpful threads in misc forums. A good point for you (mabey this is your prob) is dont fight anything and everything. Select your battles according to the strength you have, and the strength you will get after clearing the enemy from your path.

Beyond this, practise surely helps.

One thing u can do is practise.  Take all the creatures from wk one and try attacking all sorts of creatures.  You will lose lots but just reload and keep fighting things.  This way you can find out exactly whats beatable and whats not.  You will be surprised about how many things you can actually beat

Another is place all your shooters in the first slot of your army,  in the second and third slots place all of your other creatures.  In slots 3 thru 7 place one creature (e.g pixies).  Use the singleton pixies and make the computer chase them around the battlefield (the computer is really stupid).  All the while your shooters are taking the enemy out.  This does take some practise, so practise it

And finally take the time to read this thread.  It will help you lots

Sir Stiven, i understand you are very knowledgeable about this game and that these kinds of threads seem to bother you for some reason.  Please understand that new people wanna just learn the game.  Comments like yours just discourage people and is counterproductive to getting toh membership increased

@grendal: first, learn to spell my handle right.

Second, i doubt you will become a better player from listening to advice like "take exp. from boxes instead of gold". Thats n00b advice and has no place here at a serious gaming board.

If people wanna toss about best lvl 7 creature and how they managed to get 120 hydras month 7 to kill comp they can do that in library forum.

Third, i dont see the point of this thread being here at all. We have new player threads and advice threads that could and should be stickies in this forum. As for the rest of these toss discussions they should me moved or deleted as they just take up place for serious h3 tourmament talk. And even if that talk is on a low right now enter a forum where half the threads are n00b issues to belongs somewhere else isnt the way to make it better.

First of all, ive never seen anyone spell stiven like this, so i just typed what i though it was instead of going back and checking. If this offended u i apologise.

Secondly, although i wouldnt recommend taking gold instead of experience from the chest, in some situations it is a better option.  Especially on a template like ring.   Also one post doesnt define the complete thread.  There is some good information in this thread.

Finally, why couldnt u just direct them to the threads u are referring to, or help them?  Maybe those threads should be stickies, but at this point they are not.  There is a vast amount of information on this board. For a new player to find it on his/her own would be very hard.  Instead of making a negative comment couldnt you just have said to yourself "noob thread" and just leave it at that?  Giving negative comments to a new player trying to learn the game will only discourage people from playing.

As for this only being a board for serious h3 players and new people should be directed elsewhere, that is a totally different issue imo.   Personally i dont mind reading both a serious thread and a toss thread.  Toh has enough room for both

The spelling of your name has been corrected

lalala

I dont care how many people youve seen spelled Stiven like this, i havent seen someone else called grendal either but you dont see me calling you grendul because of that do you?

And there are many special occations where taking exp from a chest would be the better option, but as you say.. if you now wanna teach a n00b to play heroes you dont teach him all these special occations right away do you?

Exactly..you dont, you give general advices, and that is in this case to take gold instead of exp. its as simple as that.

And FYI i didnt toss the whole thread to start, i tossed the n00b telling to take exp instead of gold.

You see, when i start a post with someones name i usually direct the comment/post to that person. To me thats a logical thing to do.

And there is a difference between a funny toss thread and a n00b thread like this one. The toss thread is funny, this is just a waste of space. Like the discussion you and i have right here.

Oh and btw, nice to see you have learned to spell my handle right... next thing i hope you learn not to toss in things unless you know what its about

grendal, pls try not to worry about Sir_Stiven..
Theres prolly no way to change him atm. We just have to wait until he finds a girl or a job or something else to make him happy so he doesnt feel the need to go on the internet to insult people to feel good about himself.

I think feel he could be a good guy tho if he grows up alittle

lol or its just the thing that i dont take this online thingy as serious as some of you...i dunno

Now you can go back to your feel happy community bjorn and pretend that the world is a happy place where no problems exist...yaaaay

Dont get me wrong, im usually an optimistic guy... but you cant really taste the sweetness of victory unless you had sufferd losses. Just ask twelli, he should be a loss expert by now

Yea.. you're right in a way.. we do take it a bit serious I guess

And about you logging on to fight with people.. I just realized that my latest post kinda did the same thing. Im sorry.

And fyi, I dont think or pretend that the world is a nice place.. I just hope that it can be, and do what I can to make it so.

A good place to start is with yourself.. the heart and soul of the individual is prolly where the battle of good vs evil will finally be waged and won or lost.

LOL Stiven just LOL

Go ahead mispell my name it doesnt bother me in the least

Thks Bjorn That was a rather comical post and helped me with my reply and it is this:

Simply put,the person made a request.  People responded with what they thought would help (right or wrong).  Stiven you just responded with criticism.  No help.  No direction to help.

I can tell u when i first joined last year i got my *** kicked my first 30 games or so.  I joined this community and read some threads.  After reading responses to new peoples threads, i decided i wasnt going to do any posting.  I didnt want to subject myself to ridicule, humiliation, embarrassment, or just being labelled a noob.  Fortunately i love this game and found threads that helped immensely (like Franks...thks Frank ). Also i asked in games some questions i wouldve posted on this board but didnt. Thats because i didnt want those negative responses for everyone to see.

Many people would just not bother coming back if subjected to some or all of the characteristics listed above ( and im not saying they all apply to your post but some do).  My point is we should be encouraging people to play and learn, not discourage them
I'd still like to know why u wouldnt post any helpful hints or links, or just ignore the thread if it bothered u.

And of course i know what im talking about, after all im the one who typed it
