I dream with scripts to add new perspective to the HOMM world, like establishing random events and desitions from which the hero becomes evil or gets redemption,also a more political edge or even provitions for the army(except undead).It would be awsome if ur just riding ur horse through a mountain-snowy terrain and your vampires start eating your pikemen to get some blood. You know? That kind of things add differences to the game. Please donīt start saying it would kill
the classic HOMM because it certainly would...but iīm not afraid of change. Seems the creators of HOMM V donīt agree with my point of view.

It is for 3.59 platform which is not ready yet, neither Sagamosa scripts.

Me too

But since i'm a software developer and thus can script erm more or less, i'm doing this myself. But this is a huge job. So it will take much time.

And then, since i plan to change nearly everything i've just started to rewrite all scripts from scratch. Or better said, throwing away all classic scripts and restarting my own from scratch.

Your idea of a hero becoming evil or good is indeed something i've planned, too. But first other things. Perhaps you might read the thread about script rework, there i'm discussing my plans.

And maybe end of this month i will upload my current script, so anyone may download it and test. But know this: It is far from beeing finished. So it is currently quite unbalanced. And it may have bugs. And it is incompatible with the classic 3.58 scripts (but uses the WoG 3.58 engine). And it will have debug messages.


BTW: I think it will not be that random as you may think, it depends more on decisions and other plannable things. There is enough random factor in what skills your hero gets and when he gets them.

It seems the original message was posted 6 years ago and could only work with the 3.59 BETA. 6 Years on is there anywhere we can actually get the 3.59 beta from 6 years ago to at least try these scripts?

flaw in Era 1.6 manual?

for the sake of my curiosity i tried to launch this script on Era 1.6, but what surprised me, that a map didn't start because of function numbers going out of range, though in Era manual was written this: Restriction on functions' numbers (1..30000) has been removed. Use any you like which are greater than 30000 , but the while loading i received a lot of errors, saying 'function number out of range'...

ERA is not 3.59 and isn't even finished. Sagamosa scripts use commands which are not in ERA. My guess is that Sagamosa scripts will never be included in any version, because they are incomplete, being an enormous project. If it says function out of range, then maybe you did not install ERA correctly. But there is no blame, as I couldn't install it neither, despite detailed instructions from Berserker.

Hi today i found the wogsagamosa.exe file that should activate the advanced levels i put all the other files in the described directories
but when i try to start a random map the game crashes saing

ERM syntax Error
File: erm
Line: 5185
Reason : "VNcopy"-internal error (sourse=0).possible reason is wrong macro syntax

few other messages appears with symbols .

what can i do to correct this.

Sagamosa's scripts work on WoG 3.58F. Dunno how about ERA tho.
How to make them work: (from acidcave.net)

1. U need clean WoG 3.58f with script update, then sagamosa script and alpha exe which was provided some time ago.
Install Sagamosa's scripts by copying files to right destination, then copy the exe file.
2. Rename EVERY script file in scripts folder. (script00.erm to script 000.erm, so every file will have 3 digits, another example: script060.erm, script 025.ert etc.)
3. Run game using alpha exe and change Wogification options (tick Sagamosa Advanced Levels)
4.ENJOY (it is a bit laggy sometimes though)

If everything is done correctly, it works perfect. (however the comp turns are preety long) But looks like some people (about 1 0f 10) have problems with running it even if they did everything exactly like in instalation manual. Dunno why tho. Did you run the new exe, copied ALL files to RIGHT destination, renamed ALL scripts and ticked right options in wogification menu? If you are sure that u have done everything right, then it seems that you are this 1 of 10

I'm not sure, my check box says Activate Advanced Levels, and it's in a separate menu called New WoG Team Scripts.

Don't know if that's any help.

Its only loading ERM, but when you have Sagamosa scripts, this process is really long. Leave your computer alone, return after 2 hours and you will see adventure map. Now you can enjoy it
