Most powerful Hero or First Hero, What is the difference?
I have a question regarding this Most powerful Hero or First Hero for events or triggers where the experience, attack, defense is increased or decreased.
What is the difference?
Surely they are both the same.
The first hero is tbe most powerful eg
4 level necromancer and 2nd level necromancer in the same army.
The 4th level necromancer is the most powerful and therefore the first hero.
The 2nd level Necromancer is the least powerful.
So why is there a choice when using these events and triggers?
Or am I missing some?thing

AS far as I know, the first hero refers to the hero in the lowest slot number in the army, going from left to right. You need to know the postition numbers to understand this, but essentially it's a useless choice. It does come in handy if you don't care which hero receives the effect, but if you want to be specific it doesn't help.
Most powerful is as you understand it, although level is not the only determiniing factor for this. Skills seem to have a greater influence, if not the only influence. So the more skills the hero has, the more powerful.

Thanks for the reply. just one more question.
Why must the first hero be in the lowest slot?
ie slot 7 being the lowest.
Surely the first hero would be in slot 1 which would make sense.

Sorry this took so long for me to reply. You've probably figured this out by now.
The lowest slot number would be 1 (1 is less than 7), is what I meant. We're just thinking backwards from each other. The whole system is confusing.

The same way you change which slot any other creatures in your army are in. You drag them from one slot to another. You can do this on the adventure map too, which I find useful (using the circles in the bottom right of the screen when the army is selected) - because then the seven slots are arranged in the same sort of way as the creatures will be on the battlefield.

The discussion is about Heroes 4 and does not apply for Homm 3. Did you have a tricky question?
