Are there not 1001 ways to effectively deal with Titans??
I like the idea of getting your own Titans and just making sure you have the initiative bonus. Problem solved sort of

i like combo 1 efreet sultan + armageddon. Even with low spellpower you can kill up to 20 titans - because they will be split in 7 stacks.

Halloween Necrothread!
Ok my own way reading on the Who's online (and where) and I look for questions, etc
Weak Tower, thus Heroes, but mighty artifacts and spells still might Titans have some magic immune. The end result is always strategy. Remember that Tower gets too much experience levels, when Titans + hmm Force Field vs 4k Dread Knights. Super easy! Then such hard strategy against Titans. Ok The Last Titan!
1.)
I remembered the same as yesterday, where I met 10k Titans in the RoE, just original and not updated CD-ROM. Ok I had 2 month of armies, Black Orb, good spells and skills. Had to kill or game crashes. An easy! Because RoE AI used only legion of 7lvl. Stupid! I've tested allied AI played my troops, I got 210k G. Elves myself. Better! The best game is original RoE and not updated CD-ROM. I've save game shows 200k Zealots by AI.
2.) Good skills, higher Primary Skills and still correct spells you can beat the Titans. Remember melee is offense, etc an example of ranged war, remember 1000 Liches vs 100 Titans by health points. If you know how to beat the Cloak of the Undead King, Titans need Elixir of Life and then melee, etc. Depends on your hero and spell still artifact. No easy, thus clone, etc if you..
3.) Yes skeletons, Mighty Gorgons and Black Dragons still Archangels or +8lvl monsters. What you said.

Inferno for example can use combo of Efreets + Armageddon Spell, to deal with neutral titans. Against hero with titans, best way is either block titans, or take retaliation from them, then hit them as hard as possible. Fortress with Mass Haste and Tactics can rely on power of Death Stare from Gorgons to take them down.

Use forgetfullness
Not only does it remove their ranged attack, it also gives them melee penalty
But, I think they are immune so you need to use Orb of Vulnerability or something...

In HotA they are often better used as melee, than ranged units.
