*turns at heels*

Okay, peeps, I'm around. Been missing me? Been missing my miles long posts ala Milena? KK, cry no more for you shall be satisfied. ;-)

Well, first and most of all, I know a mature person when I see that he KNOWS what he wants and most important - knows the price for getting what he wants. Honestly, wanting this, wanting that, quite reminds me of a little kid on a stroll with his mom. This is the image envoked in my mind: "Mom, I want icecream!", "Mom, I want that huge elephant over there!" "Mom, I want a little sister" "Mom, I want a renault, moooooooomaaaaa!" ANd the moma drags the kid along and he gets no car, no elephant, probably no sister.

Wanting is not a bad thing. Nice to have a car, I swear it! But Cheesus Christ, my bank account will NOT be appreciative. It's really nice to give someone a beating but boy, I can bet that they are going to wait for me in a dark corner and give me back a worse beating.

Nothing in this world, kids, is for free. Especially those who want elephants and cars and nonstop icecreams must be aware that they COULD get those but everything and anything has a price. Hey, if you're ready to do the time, go do the crime! This is because this is how the world is made 'fair'. No one will put so much efforts and materials into making a car for you if you don't pay for it. EVen favors - who would do those if they don't get a reward at some time?

There is that general misconception that anarchy = freedom. Okay. Should we suppose that it is so. A=F. There are ABSOLUTELY no laws to stop you. No people to give retribution at least for a little while. No limits. You could rob and kill anyone who you;d want to rob and kill.

Does this mean that you're going to jump and kill and rob just because you could do the crime without doing the time? Suppose, kill your parents, your enemies in school, the headmaster... how about break into that store and get yourself the best comp? ARE you going to do all of this?

I strongly doubt it.

Yeah, external laws and limits could be lifted but no one can part you with your conscience. The moment that the barriers are stripped, the weight of your actions merely fall elsewhere. The responsibility of all you do falls on you and yourself alone.

Alas, kids, freedom is responsibility. If your mothers don't make you study, you do that yourself after a few screwups because your future depends on your own abilities and just as no one stops you, no one aids you.

Lest we presume that anarchy is indeed freedom, oh, my, anarchy would be too heavy for people to bear because the responsibility would be too great and there are too few indiviuals mature enough to handle it.

And last of all - they all say that they want freedom but few don't end up married with kids. Go figure.

Now, for those of you who do realize that anarchy isn't freedom. Anarchy is actually any absense of order and regulations. IE if someone stronger comes and smashes your car, you do nothing but remain in your trashed car and there would be no cops to call and call for aid. If people did whatever they wanted, no one would go to work. WHO is going to make your dinner? They would be all trying to go for the pleasure. Oh, wait, wait. Pleasure? Amusement parks? HOW if no one is there to take care of the machines?

Anarchy is actually the rule of the fist: you just sit down and pray that you're going to be faster and stronger that anyone who'd like to smash your face for entertainment. It's always cool when -you- are able to rule over the other guy without having anyone to stop you but it's so non-cool when someone else rules is able to rule over you without having anyone to stop him.

Anarchy? Think all those sick and disabled people and mother with little kids who would need a home, support and care and would probably die because no one would provide it for them.

With two words, oh, yeah, da such a good and tempting idea... idea. Like communism. So much idea, so little practice.

Anarchy... is such a trivial utopia.

Zdravei Milena, welcome back! You and I don’t know each other, but you’ve left your thoughts on HC to tell me about you, so I kinda feel like knowing you for some time. So, good to have you back. And I guess sharing with us, why haven’t you posted for so long would be cool.

Now, on topic. Anarchy is complete freedom, whether you like it or not. Which on the other hand, also includes the absence of order and regulation, as you said, and that’s not always good. Precisely because of what you speak about the consequences and the responsibility complete freedom brings upon individuals. But some people might argue (I’m not among them) that only complete freedom will make us happy, like the animals. Have you ever heard of animals in depression or trying to commit suicide? Hardly. (although they do become depressive when put in tiny cages, but that’s complete slavery, not freedom)

And, you know, I tend to respect more those kids that ask their mommies about impossible idealistic wishes (“Mommy, I want to feed all the poor children in the world.”) than those who ask their parents to buy them guns.

So anarchy - a beautiful and noble dream. Unlike communism, a dream that will hardly come true.

Actually, suicidal animals are quite common in certain areas. Lemmings, anyone?
