Ok the new race is the
Hastis (1 hasti(hass-tee), multiple hastis(hass-tiss))
Appearance: Tight, reptilic skin keeps the cold out of their frosted planet. These strange creatures have the widest vocal range out of any known species, and can simulate others voices as well as speak most languages. They have small, flat heads with long necks, a small body apon long lanky legs that are most of the time bent like frogs. The walk by lifting thier front half of their legs up to touch the back half (bent back as if you were sitting on your feet if like a frog) and moving forward. Doing this, and using extreme flexibility they can cover great distances in not long at all, and using little energy. They are not very strong but are very fit, and very agile. Special enzymes in their saliva can break down tough atom compositions, making them able to bite through rock and light metal. a special compound of rock called granite contains Narcotics in it digestible only by the Hastis, however it is rare on Hassus and commmon on other planets. this fetches a wild trading rate at the core.
Their Planet: The planet Hassus is frozen and inactive, meaning no volcanic or tectonic activity. However, it wasnt always like this. A rare chemical found in the carbon cells of all living things in this planet is a rare form of antestructural-magma, meaning that every living plant and Hasti contains a nutrient in their very essence which has a extremely powerful reaction to magma and lava.
Thier historyuring a scientific boon around the Third Hasirian Age, about 323 million years ago, the Hastis tunneled down deeper towards the core of their planet. This was to retrieve more granite for trade, however they uncovered a pocket of magma situated quite shallow beneath the surface of the planets crust. This reacted to their bodies causing massive implosions throughout the planet, and making an equivalent of 'Nuclear Winter' except with lava, causing too much smog over the atmosphere and freezing the planet completely, and killing most Hastis.
Society: They have had little connection with other races, their main interests are diplomacy, and granite. They try to get the granite by any means possible. They are adequate fighters, but are still quite intelligent. The females are less common and more dominant. They are slightly bigger and have larger eyes. The children are born in eggs and are raised for about a year before they can go off on their own. They are very civilized so the need for government is minimal. An effective Socio-Political Communism is largely used in most of the communities.
Special Abilities: Can chew through metal and rock. Can run fast, are pretty strong and intelligent. Extreme weakness to lava and magma, vulnerable to fire, but have adapted to their cold climate well. They have used their technology to help prevent harm from lava and fire. +1 strength, intelligence and agility, -2 endurance, -1 charisma.

Hroximo is a regular around the Core. He is not often hired, left up to his own affairs and self interests due to the extravagantly high pay demand. He has been hired as a hitman, a general to fight in the battles and even a thief to steal information or objects. But the only person this Hasti is really looking out for is himself. His reputation is only outdone by his greed. He left Hassus at a young age, wanting to see more of the world. He now lives in a apartment in the outer core.
BTW i better start reading the rest of the story to get with the program lol!

i must commend you guys on this thread. its an awesome story. im in the middle of reading it before i post anything so i can be up to speed, and its great.
the book im currently reading is called "Speaker for the Dead" by Orson Scott Card and is sci-fi kinda like this rp, and when i sat down to read it today i was thinking "now where am i... up to the part where Vadskye meets Mr. Anderson in the core? oh wait, wrong story "

So anyway, I've noticed how this isn't being very active. Ya I'm slow Deal with it
So what I've been thinking is, why not start again, but without a GM? This way existing members who dun wanna participate can just not re-join, existing members who don't like their chars anymore can create new ones, while it'll be easier for new people to join. Also, a GMless RP will continue easier. So what does everyone think?

New race and character for the new round:
Hargans
Somewhere in the galaxy, there exists this small grey planet Hargaia. It’s very Earthlike, excepting the fact that it’s turning much slower than Earth, which has made the mountains less eroded. They’re taller, and bigger, in other words. The main inhabitants of this planet though aren’t taller. On the contrary, they’re shorter. And stronger. And since this planet lies in a solar system with a slightly smaller sun, it’s cooler, which has made them very hairy. They have an average lifetime of 250 Earth Years, or 175 Hargan Years. The Hargans are adult from their 20th Hargan birthday, required to work the mines from their 16th, and are beginning to age when they’re around 125 Hargan Years old.
Since the only material available on this planet is rocks, petroleum and minerals under the mountains, the Hargans, as the race call themselves, are skilled miners. Working in mines ones whole life gives one a rather muscular body, but the muscles are somewhat limited by their short bodies, so they have developed a fairly advanced technology.
But Hargaia has a shortage of water. This makes the Hargans a very smelly people, since they don’t waste valuable water on their personal hygiene.
The Hargans are isolationists, who don’t mingle much with other races. But they’re not unfriendly; they behave in a polite manner, but they are considered distant and cool. They don’t care much for the other races as long as they are left in peace.
They arrange their society like a liberal communist state, with a central council elected every 5th Hargan year (five orbits around their sun). Anyone can run for a seat in this council, if they’ve worked the mines, served in the army, and undertaken at least one trade journey to the Core or another friendly trading post.
The only times a Hargan is warm against a member of another race, is when the other race guy seems interested in purchasing some Hargan technology. Which is a very sought after commodity.

My character: Tharj
Tharj is a Hargan. He is about 60 Earth years old, which is about 55 Hargan ones. He’s in his prime, in other words. Tharj worked the mines until he was 35EY, building a good stamina, and becoming a strong little critter. After resigning from his job as a shift leader, he joined the army. He served in a combat squad through some border skirmishes with space pirates, have been a part of the Hargan expedition force that crushed most of the space pirates’ strongholds, and has served in forces sent to politely, but firmly, advice human settlers to find another planet to settle.
When he resigned from service at the age of 52EY, he joined the Hargan Trade Fleet, first as a guard, later as a tradesman’s apprentice. Sometime in his 58th EY, he was assigned the command of a small trading vessel, with the orders to travel the known galaxy in search of new trade commodities.
He’s usually armed with the standard Hargan infantry equipment: Battle axe, one projectile gun, one laser gun, and five shock grenades (smoke, flash, bang).

Ansatsu started as a human, but...
Ansatsu was a street pickpocket on the Human colony of Kyrie when he got in the way of one of the major crime lords by stealing from one of the crime lord's own pickpockets. Running for life, he stumbled into a secret facility where he encountered an alien being. The being was a Ya'rd, a parasite who survives by taking over people's minds. It transferred itself to Ansatsu and he was made a captive in his own mind. Tapping into his memories, the Ya'rd learned everything about Ansatsu. It used its superior alien intelligence to get him away from his pursuers and began a new life in another Human colony,
Hildeth. Ansatsu remained a slave for years, but he finally overpowered the alien's mind and broke free. The situation was reversed and Ansatsu tapped into the alien's intelligence whenever he needed to. He negotiated a settlement with the Kyrie government, and in exchange for not telling about their secret facilities and aliens, he recieved a massive amount of money. Ansatsu moved to a manor home in Hildeth's capital and planned his way into space. Ansatsu aquired a space ship and now roams the region in search of money. What he needs all the money for is a mystery, however...
After so long controlling the parasite within him, Ansatsu was tired of holding the struggling alien at bay. They met in his mind and negotiated a truce. They now work together, but how Ansatsu convinced the Ya'rd to submit remains a mystery... Drawing on the combined knowledge of two races, not to mention enormous amounts of money, Ansatsu is also extremely intelligent and very difficult to trick. And even if you do succeed, he has... connections... that would kill you before you saw the day's end. This is a very dangerous man.

Race: Dauran Kt'Kr
Job: veteran soldier, ex-general, hitman (hitbug?)
Age: 39
Garthrax was one of the finest generals to ever walk the surface of Dauros. Having won against outstanding odds during countless conflicts between the three Kt'Kr clans. He was one of the first to say "they must go" when the Humans came to the Core. One day he demanded permission to organize an anti-Human military campaign. This demand was rejected though, and the next day Garthrax was missing. Many thought him dead - the government wished he was. No living Kt'Kr ever managed to defeat Garthrax in any form of combat, and his charisma wasn't lacking either. The Dauran leaders feared that he might try to take over. A few years have passed since then however, and there was no sign of Garthrax. Meanwhile, he is lurking around the Core. And the idea of a human being president drives him mad just as much as it did when Daniels got elected.

Background story remains the same - Wanted adventure so he stole his father's ship and came to the Core to have fun.

Race: The Wraiths
I'll start out with some History of the planet:
Long ago, a planet filled Reptile-like beings came to our world and slaughtered it, it was a battle that lasted for years, but the Reptile-like beings had the advantage in technology, and won. ALL Living beings were destroyed, and a virus that slowly killed the earth was put on it. All buildings got destroyed aswell. 4 Years later, with an earth that was basicly dead, and just crumbled away, wights came to the earth. Spectres that couldn't do material things, but were very intelligent. Slowly they floated around, as more and more came to the surface. Obviously some had survived after all, and they had started evolving technology that could "replace" their earth, making it a mekka filled with delights other worlds had never seen, so the their planet was slowly being eletronical, as it crumbled away. People from the reptilian race came to stop this, as they saw it, but the batalion that came, was possessed by the wights! Other races came, but the same thing happend. After 4 days possessed, the wight in it's form, no matter the race, becomes a "Wraith", their new normal form. After MANY years of rebuilding, the planet was finally a mechanical heaven, NO earth left. Everything was mechanical. No Animals. There was one wealthy family(the ones ancestors who had started building it), and loads of poor people.. The Wights. Wights were intelligent things, so they could get paid for their wise service by Wraiths, not that wraiths were dumb.. But sometimes a little ekstra help pays off. What the wights used their money for, was a "body". A band of wraiths made gold by kidnapping alive people, and letting wraiths posses them. Nifty isn't it?
The world has been like this for years, and what wraiths do normally is pretty much try to sabotage things for other races. The planet of the wraiths is like you know VERY mechanical, but it has an extremely nice defences, it's almost impossible to breach in. Many people have throughout the ages tried attacking it, withs loads of fighters, heavy weaponry, even big bombs. Everything gets shot down by turrets. So the world is now "safe".
About the Race:
Name: Wraith
Wraiths look very depressive, and often try to conceal their faces and bodies with a big cloak. They are often sabotaging stuff for other races, or finding better ways to defend themselves, because of the "JUDGEMENT DAY" which was provided by the Reptilian Race. Another Wraith project is Revenge, which has been under way for a long time now, or, has been prepaired for a long time. They often look pale, scarred, mean, and often scares people if they come to close. Wraiths are VERY skilled fightes, since it's all they care about since they have gotten this exsistence. Wraiths are not a mericiful race, but some wraiths are. If you encounter one, don't hesitate to attack or stay away. Noone knows for how long they live, they don't even know if they "live".
Ny Character:
Name: Hydian
Age: Unknown.
History: Was quick to get suited(term for getting a body) and is in the band of people who snatch bodies for wights. Has 2 parents, and only one sister. Has had his job for a while and is respected in his own little community. He isn't a man everybody looks up to, more like a man you can count on. It isn't because he does everything people would like or anything like that, but he is a very versaitle fighter, and he loves fighting, which was why he joined the other Body Snatchers. Not much is known about Hydian.
The stats of a Wraith is very difficult to show, since they change often to what the wraith needs it to be, all that is known is that they have a VERY high intelligence, and they will get special powers as they learn more.
