Beside 2 red stars

There are newbies that are not n00bs?
Well, if they are then: there are differences between newbies?
Who can tell?...

I certainly can not, because I'm right between them, I am the one who just made this difference...

Can be this a thread for the newbies that are not n00bs?...

Newbie = someone with not many posts
n00b = someone that um.. didnt post very much?

I see a difference you mean. But I cant pin point it. Can you distinguish the difference?

Yes indeed!
First of all i'm a newbie, but because I'm just in, 'all' my posts are saying that in fact I'm a n00b. But while posting this thread (& others) in wich i'm saying that i'm neither newbee, nor n00b, i'm already a newbie without  being also a n00b anymore, wich  I actually am. So I'm right from the start i'm neither newbie nor n00b.

I think it's more to do with attitude and naivete. A newbie is someone who's new to the forum, but can fall in with the general attitude that the board promotes without needing to be told.
A n00b is somone who asks annoying questions, points out the obvious and needs to be baby-sat through their first gold star until they've learned the proper etiquette for posting.
I was a bit n00bish when I first joined, but hopefully I've mended my ways.
I still think it's a bit harsh when someone is branded a n00b and their opinions seem to count less because of it

n00b is more along nicknames you call new guys in worksites, unions, or somethin like that. Newbie is a more general word where n00bs are dam n00bs?

I dont belive a n00b is a newbie in denial :/

Dean explained it quite well.  I've always branded annoying new members such as Mvassilev as n00bs and others members as newbies.  I was a n00b when I first joined because I refused to read the FAQ for about a month.  I never made any of those "Hi I'm new Here" threads.  I just went and started posting...after screwing up my first week and having Unka_Hankon yell at me.  Now I'm considered a senior member.  At least that's what The_Hydra called me.  Nifty.

being a n00b has nothing to do with post count, its how you behave that matters.

Does that make me a better tosser than you?
I never said anything about post count.  I was giving an example of n00bs...of which you still are obviously.

Noob/newbie status has nothing to do with post count.  A noob is someone who asks annoying, basic questions. (i.e. How do I join?  How do I get red stars?  What are red/yellow stars? and so on.) A newbie is simply someone who is new.  If someone were to merely watch the board for months without posting (like me) then when they started posting, they would not be a newbie even though their post count is small.  It's that kind of thing that defines it.

To me, Noobs and Newbies are the same.  Just Noob is short for Newbie.

Formula A:

Noob = Newbie

Ok, There are no diffrences between this two words
but what about the distinctins between those who are named by them?...
I think there are people to wich the two red stars & the status recived are indifferent. As long they can talk about Heroes they see no point trying to extrapost ...
