Heroes Chronicles?
Iv'e seen about four of these expansions floating around out there, but the description has left me with remaining questions.
Does anybody know if these build into H3 or H2?
Also, are they just extra scenarios or campaigns?
I can provide a link if need be.

They are the link between AB and WoG. Otherwise there are no new monsters, artifacts (maybe Sword of Frost?), etc. I think, that's why there is also no map editor for them. They seem to be made only for making the storyline more complete.
So they are only extra campaigns from this viewpoint.

They have nothing to do with WoG at all. It was simply a good marketing move by 3DO, a few packs with one simple campaign in each. They have no new artifacts, heroes, towns, spells etc. AFAIK they introduce some new terrain decorations, but even if this is true, it's not a worthy thing. The campaigns are quite easy, so I would personally recommend the Chronicles to the newbies. They are of no value for the veterans, except maybe the storyline...

The last part of the Chronicles is Sword of Frost. Wog tells us the story of the destruction of the planet of Antagarich and Enroth, which was caused by the fight between Gelu wielding Armageddon's blade, and Kilgor wielding Sword of Frost. I'm not sure, because I haven't got Final Chapters yet. Or am I mistaken?
Chronicles have at least 1 new hero, Tarnum. (Though his class changes during the chronicles chapters.)

Yes, you can download them now and play as custom campaigns in your Heroes 3.
But the campaigns are bad, really bad. There are quite a few fan made ones that are much superior to it.
