Help with Zone
Help needed!!!
I was playing heroes 3 on Zone, and i finally got into a game.
well, at first, i logged into zone, went to the chat room... and it said i didn't have heroes. so i was told to use this thing to fix the registry for it. so i do so...
when i get into a game...
the creator, also owning complete, says that he can't access any of the expansions maps!!! conflux was available, but i prefer Rampart, so i didn't even try...
my question is...
how do i fix this? Could it have to do with the ubisoft version i own...?
I'm tired, so i apologise if this sounds horrid.

You both have version 4.0 ?
And what do you mean with "couldnīt access any of the expansion maps"? They didnīt appear in the "scenario list"?

Yes, 4.0, at least i'm pretty sure. how does one test...?
but still, yes. The maps just were not there, not even armageddon's blade. I've played SOD maps using this version, played through the campaigns, nothing new...
maybe the re-registering? but then zone didn't accept it as being there... meh

Look for your "heroes.exe" file (should be located here: c:/programs/3do/heroes...or similar), right click that file, chose properties, version.
For me it seems ONE of you has only version 1.4...

hmm... i've found nothing to denote version after doing such
but just incase thats it, how could one go about fixing such a matter?

You canīt.
If one of the players donīt have at least version 3.2, u r not able to play SoD maps.
And for the version thingie....i guess u have an icon of heroes on your desktop to start the game, right?
Rightclick this icon and click "properties". A window should appear with 3 "tabs". The middle one should be called "conjunction" or similar (donīt know how it is called in english). Click on it. Now u can see 3 buttons near the bottom (Search aim, Other Symbol, Advanced). Click on "Search aim(goal)". Now the comp finds the "exe" file for you. It should be marked in a list now. Rightclick, properties, version...there you are..

okay, i have 4. i was looking at it wrong, sorry -flush-
checking with friend currently. if thats not it, then any other ideas what it might be?
could re regging it have messed anything up? it wasn't recognizing heroes before, so i had no choice.

The only thing what comes in my mind (if your opponent has 4.0 as well) is, one of you could have TWO heroes games installed.

ah-hah! he only has version 1.4.0.0.
apparently... he has 3 and complete installed...
sometimes your friends aren't as smart as you think they are...
for that was the version of his original heroes. so i think we just need to get that uninstalled, and then all will work...
one can hope anyway. apologies.

heh... yes... it works now!!! so it wasn't my fault!!!
and i soooo deserve to win. we're playing an odd map thats huge and has all kinds of arts everywhere...
the whole angelic alliance is hidden in a small underground passage practically RIGHT beside my starting castle... guarded by everything from dragonflies to azure dragons.

Hello! I need help to get inte the zone homm3 section...I have the heroes complete discs...but i cant get in to the zone homm3 room..i have done an accunct on zone and everything is fine until i am gonna enter the heroes room...then when i click on it nothing happens...plz help me
