Artifacts Merchant
Sorry if this has been brought up before or if it is old news, but I did not see this listed anywhere in the Library (I may have overlooked, if so, I apologize).
I've noticed during many XL games that are rich in artifacts, that when I go to exchange them at an artifacts merchant, I get a different amount of gold/resource each time I try.
Let me try to explain this better with an example: Lets say I have a dwarven shield in my backpack along with many other relics, etc... When I click on the artifacts merchant and try to exchange an artifact I own for gold/resource, I first click on a relic in my backpack (angel wings lets say), it will give me a pretty good amount of gold for this... now, I scroll through my list of artifacts with the cursor remaining in the same place until it highlights the dwarven shield... right now it is showing that I can exchange this shield for the same amount of gold/resource as I could for the angel wings.
Is this a bug? I have tested this numerous times and have gotten as much as 50,000 gold (over 100+ precious resource) for a basic artifact (dwarven shield or equivalent).
All of the above info I have tested on Heroes 3 Complete.

Yep...this is the known "merchant bug".
You could get 6000 gold for a spellscroll though.
Thatīs the reason why most of time the "artifact merchant" is ruled out in online games...
