Hi, i think Conflux sucks big time if the battle turns out to be in w4 w5 or even w6, especially if u have a nice hero with medium or good spells on him. I recently played a 3ffa game 1 week ago in LRH, if i remember well i had Inferno, the other had Conflux. His army was like 13 Firebirds in w5 or so, me with 7 ADevils if i remember well. Skills around 12-13-10-7 for him and me 15-20-11-8 i think...i dont remember exactly cuz i already played since then 3-4 games meanwhile. At the beggining i thought that i'm pretty dead and wont have a chance to hit 2nd round...but in the final the result was surprising for both of us...despite i lost the battle i left him with only Magma Elementals and some other lvl 1-2 creatures. Both were surprised how weak was Conflux.
So, you never know how's the end untill u push ur limits and try harder!
Of course Conflux is good but later in game with good hero and 20 or so Birdies..
