Bug with Inferno Towns?

Hi out there!
I started playing an allied multiplayer game, where both me and my ally had Inferno Towns. We assumed that we could use Castle Gates so that we can travel between our towns, but it seems that one can ONLY RETURN through castle gate to his own castle! Does anybody know if this is a bug, or is it something we should expect to happen? I also want to point out that Heroes III manual specifically says that (page 96):
"A visiting hero can pass through the Castle Gate building to any other allied Inferno town with a Castle Gate as long as that town does not have a visiting hero present."

I don´t think you can teleport in other player´s castle with castle gate even if you are allied (haven´t tested though). The game manual propably means your own towns with "allied towns".
Never knew you could still use the town gate from your ally´s town.

Well, according to the definition given in the manual, one can conclude that "allied" teleporting of heroes between allied-towns is perfectly allowed. I was not talking about teleporting between towns that have Castle Gates but do not belong either to you or to one of your allies (in case there are many)!

Let me describe the situation that gave rise to this post a little bit better. The game I just started was an experiment to see how Castle Gate can be utilized (I am playing on my computer at home against the AI in case someone doesn't anwser because he thinks I am playing on net - which I have never as yet done!).
Unfortunately, the game has only just began and me and my ally have one inferno town each (both started game with inferno). Now, the number of towns is critical in order to answer the following question.

Q: Since you ARE allowed to use the Castle Gate from your ally's town with one of your heroes so as to return to your town, what happens if your ally has more than one cities with Castle gate? Can you teleport your hero to one of your ally's cities?

! Based on the behaviour described above, I am sure there is no just one reasonable answer.

Finally, why are you allowed to use your ally's Castle Gate to return to your town, since you can't do that the other way round? This seems to be a bug if you also consider the following behaviour about your ally's buildings: Although you can not "load" creatures (already bought) from an ally's town, you can not even help your ally by buying some creatures for him!
Well, this might not be such a good example, since one answer is "Transfer money through marketplace to your ally and let him buy the creatures he wants!" which I sincerely accept, but I want to give you an idea, of the kind of manipulation that is allowed to you on your ally's buildings.
