HELP! H3 AB Dragon Slayer Quest!
Okay, after 5 and a half months I have an insane army and still managed to keep about 200 spell points to wrap up the azure dragons. Only one problem: The ring needed to pass the quest guard is unnattainable! I've beaten the balck dragons that are gaurding it, but it still says that the ring will be given to "the first true leader he meets". WHATS THAT CRAP?! My stats are all in the upper 40's and I have an army that could cut through Zounds of Black Dragons. What am I missing?! I've only got 2 weeks left and I'm getting desperate... Please help anyone! Oh, and one more thing, are seer's hut quest items random?! Because I've searched the entire map for the shield, but no luck. Am I missing something?!

The shield is located to the east of your starting town in the area behind the "dragon garrison", where the 2 goldmines can be found. The color of the shield is grey/green, so you prolly missed it there...it lays besides the road...
