ok here we go:

well when i was 4 i did dancing and i went into competitions and stuff and got awards etc... so yer that was good.

ummm in year 9 i got an academic award for science, which i was over the moon about coz i loved science in year 9 and it was one of the only goood subjects i liked.

At the end of year 9, my computer studies class competed in a "lego robo cup" competition against other schools. everyone in the class made robots to follow a pathway, but i was the only person in the class to make a dancing robot. so yer that was pretty kool.

ok here is the best thing ever!!!!!

I was a member of a forum site called "wateva" and i met a guy called william there. we didnt get alone well for a bit, but i join his cool forumsite" heroic alliance".
we talked for a while and became friends, we got to know each other more and liked each other more and more and more!
I LOVE YOU WILLIAM!!!

Edited by Guitarguy at 13:49, 04 Jan 2007.

I'm very happy about something that happened yesterday (it's past midnight now). I went upstairs with my guitar to have another go at songwriting. I sat in a quiet room (to be my eventual bedroom once all of the toys and clutter are cleared out) and started playing. The first ten minutes didn't really produce anything special, and I even considered wrapping it up and going back downstairs.

And then, suddenly, I started working on an idea and it turned into a full song after an hour and a half. I was really excited at this little development of mine; it was my first completed song in one whole year's time. The last full song I wrote was in early November 2005. So this was certainly a boost for me.

The song itself was a complete reworking of an original I'd written sometime in 2004. That old version had a religious context, and my youth group had sung it several times at church. While my leaders say that they liked it, I eventually couldn't stand the song. I was really unsatisfied with the lyrics and melody, and I couldn't believe I allowed myself to complete such a song! I was reluctant to perform it, as it made me embarrassed (as its creator).

So this reworking brought about a great deal of change in the song instrumentation and theme. The original was a simple piece in D-major, but this new one is up a full step. It's also full of suspended chords that bring the acoustic ballads of Nickelback and Staind to mind. Oh, and I made it a bit more upbeat as well. The song still encompasses a religious theme, but this time, it was mixed with various other feelings I was/am experiencing. I had as many as three or four people in my mind when I wrote this new song.

As I said, I'm happy about this new songwriting effort! Something like this will hopefully motivate me to go even further to break down the fourteen or so months of writer's block that has been plaguing me.

Okay, things have patched up somewhat. I asked my friend Kristen if she'd still like to collaborate musically with me, and she said yes. She reassured me that she and Mike were willing to be flexible. I was relieved, although I could've easily mentioned how the deletion of my name from her music page made me deeply upset. I suppose I had a right to bring that up, but I didn't in the end. I guess I'm just happy that things didn't turn out in the worst possible ways.

I'm over my current depression, for now. I hope it won't come back often.

4 days ago my daughter came home and a lens had popped out of her new glasses, which she somehow didnt even notice. So we retraced all her steps, informed the office and the custodian and looked all through the playground etc. But it was nowhere to be found...

So then just now as I was about to call to make an appointment to get her new glasses, she calls from school to say it was found - and not a scratch on it!

Yay

Though I have had what most see as a 'tragic' life, I feel blessed.  I have close family, close friends, and am working on owning my own house.  Recently I have became involved with a fitness trainer who I am glad to say is hard to keep up with (will explain this later).  I have lost over 22 lbs in 18 months, and not had to starve myself to accomplish it.

I am generally respected where I work, or feared *giggles*.  I am happy with myself, and have found an inner peace.  Its a long story, and not really an uphill type, but I've come a long way.  I've went from never knowing where my next meal might come from to middle class, and from something like a spawn of Satan to somebody who I like to think of as caring and generous.  I have some horrible luck, but things work out for me in the end. It's all how you look at things, and I always look at my life as it is always uphill times for me.

I HEREBY DECLARE THIS THREAD RESURRECTED FROM THE DEEPEST DEPTHS OF TAVERN!

I'm on the uphill times today!

Feeling absolutely awesome. Everythings just so great. It was a lovely spring day full of energy, bird song and sunshine. And some recless driving which I enjoyed to the bottom of my heart. Plus I'm on a weekend free from the army. My birthday is next monday. It's like nothing can go wrong.

Except I'm sick and eating antibiotics. And the sunshine gave me headache and made me nigh blind for the next few days. I also have to go back to the army tomorrow. Most of my friends are out of town also. I'm not in condition to go out to the town to party or pick up a one night stand.

But I just can't care! I'm feeling way too good! I put on some music from my teenage years and turned the bass so loud that my room's cast wall has started to shatter a little. Neighbours are goign to come over and complain in half an hour. Let them come. Nothing can pull me down today.

NOTHING!

I'm enjoying life to it's fullest,
YOU SHOULD TOO HC!

I have no idea why I feel like I do but it's damn awesome! Maybe it's the spring or the sun. Who cares? Not me.

I WISH AWESOME NIGHT FOR ALL OF YOU HC!

I got an A+ on a recent exam.  I rarely get A's, so getting two thus far this semester is really thrilling to me.  I studied every night for almost two weeks, and I would have been really disappointed if I got anything less than an A-.  So now I have new resolve to excel in these remaining few weeks.  There are two big projects I need to work on for next week, and so I'll be heading over to the library after dinner.  Right now, there's the huge temptation to kick back and relax, but I cannot let that happen.
