There ya go that's the question. I personally think that Glade would be the best forum to have them in.

I don't think that any particular Forum would be more appropriate than any other, but I do think that the VW would be the most likely place to benefit from the creation of CPs.
I believe that without the "constant action" that takes place in the VW, HC would be missing a very important aspect of its overall energy. For example, sometimes when the rest of HC is quiet, the VW is the only thing still going. I think that there should be some sort of "notable recognition" for that kind of activity.
While I don't think that a QP would be an appropriate way of recognizing this element, I think that a CP would be perfect. 
I feel the same way about poetry & joke/humour Posts, by the way.

Stop calling them CP:s.
I will never support anything that shares the 2 letters as a mental disease.
Call them CS (contribution stars) or whatever you want but CP:s has a very negative sound here.

I will be posting more on the topic, likely tomorrow as today is the kids' last of school for the year. I have talked with Valeriy about it, and while we will not have a new icon, we will be keeping track of them in such a way as to not confuse members.
I had no idea that CP stood for anything, there was no negative connotation intentionally implied there. We will call it something else. Sorry.
As for where I think they would benefit most, I personally don't see the where as being as much of an issue as the who. It creates a great way for moderators to recognize people who may not have recived the reward otherwise.

i think points of contribution is wrong anyway, to adapt a term from the members choice thread (nice commercial for it eh? ) - KISS.
Make a system of 5 titles you can gain depending on your contributions and then put that title among the others under the avatar.
That way no extra stars is needed.
Example of system
1) assisting
2) guiding
3) helpful
4) valuable
5) HC asset

hmmm.. not sure we should encourage that name for any criteria!!
