Two new utilities, presented by SergRoj!
Quote: It's on this page: http://www.grayface1.chat.ru/
What it does:
1) You can import and export minimap picture.
2) You can resize a map and change its version(SOD or WOG). (up to 252 x 252! )
3) You can make a vision that roads doesn't stop on the map side.
4) You can put one object on another. This will require a combination of it with Object Editor.
See help for details.

By the way, Bourn has written another patch.
http://bournwog.narod.ru/Patch.rar
It enlarges the Events window and adds scrollbars.
If any of this patches won't work, download http://bournwog.narod.ru/Dll.rar and put it into the System(32) folder.

The new fan-made editor lets you place objects that look like other objects (for example, a dendroid that looks like a tree on the adventure map). It could be interesting to use in a story-based scenarios.
i just downloaded the tools. the one that makes the map larger is pretty nice, the map gets wayyy larger, though i couln't edit that on the orginal map editor, isn't it possible to add something on it after you made it larger? :/ .

Here are some Fnord's notes:
Quote: Anyway, the patch installed fine and I was able to edit the 288x288 map with no problems. I was even able to load it with no problems into SoD. The problem is that the buildings and heroes and other objects that I placed past the normal 144 area instead appeared near the top left of the map (on top of what I had placed there in some cases). So I think that the game probably won't accept anything outside the 144 boundries and will just relocate it instead (it probably goes outside an x/y/l table).
Also, the minimap is all screwed up as in my other semi-test (without the map editor patch) -- it's all magenta when you move and nothing else.
So...perhaps I'll verify if this is the same with WoG as with SoD but I suspect it is, which is too bad...maps larger than 144 (288 for example) would have been neat to play (but just moving through empty terrain won't be much fun).
[...]since there's only 256 numbers in a byte, perhaps 255x255 is the maximum map size that won't mess up when you place objects on the edges. Or if there's some "overhead", maybe slightly smaller like you have (252x252) is the largest that will work.
The mini-map issue's a bit annoying but I guess it's not a huge problem. The object limit could be a problem but it all depends on how densely packed the map is anyway. And some object types don't even seem to have a limit in the editor (or else it's a very high limit).

Quote: I tried that object editor and it messed my AB map editor up. All the objects disappeared. What did I do wrong? I reinstalled Armageddon's Blade but that didn't help.
Have you run both h3objed.exe and h3bmaped.exe? The object editor works as a separate tool.

This thing work almost perfect... or it is something wrong with map editor. When I past some objects it says just "fatal run-time error" and the program exit. Help please, I want a Seer's hut to look like a creature.
