Restructuring MapHaven Guild
For the fact it was a bit quiet in this forum lately, i will try to restructure it a bit and combine it more with the library. All threads in the library which refer to campaign or map problems, walkthroughs or similar topics will be moved here in the Maphaven.
I´m also thinking about moving the Reviews (maps and templates) here. What do you think?

Frankly, it sounds like cleaning the Library. Those threads end up with 0-3 replies, and would just flood the MapHaven (full of such topics already).
Is there an archive here at HC? You could move some old threads...?
I'd prefer to see a new Table of Contents here, plus some links in the Library...

most of the threads regarding random map making(template design) are quite valuable, Vlaad.Lee made a summary of some nice threads regarding this subject in the library ToC, but noone (ahem Dirk that is  )bothered to insert those in the actual 1st post.I think it is a bad ideea to move those here.Even though this isn't the fixed map heaven, i think the current format is good.
I haven't been on the zone a lot lately, but i think a good ideea would be to have some of the good fixed players post some short walkthrough for the most popular multiplyer fixed maps.
Also as another ideea for reviving this forum, maybe Commando or some other good mapmaker would be so kind as to create a "mapmaking basics" thread, a thread where to explain some of the secrets of creating a sucessful map from scratch.Also IMHO it will be great ideea to have someone literate in WOG erm scripting(this is what my IM was about Vlaad)give some tips about WOG maps particularities, because i think this is a domain that still hasn't revealed all it's secrets yet(even though i have no clue what is all about).
Just my 2 cents

I understand. I was talking about "Stuck in This or That Map" kind of threads.
Perhaps Angelito could merge all the short threads into some stickies, like "Post your mapmaking questions HERE" and "Need help with a map/campaign?" or something.
The way it is now, the Guild seems flooded while there's actually little useful info.

There are already several great topics at MapHaven and Celestial Heavens. They have been uploaded for a looong time. I find it meaningless to start ANOTHER one here. It won't do any harm, of course.

Well, it's H3 mapmaking + ERM scripting, so those who are interested would check out the WoG subforum in the first place.
Sorry to sound so negative, but until H5 is released, this section - and HC as a whole - will stay rather quiet.

When i´m finished with my thread moving, i had already in mind to create some sticky threads with links in it. One about specific campaign or map problems and their solutions, another about random template makings, a third one with reviews....and perhaps a 4th one with walkthroughs.....
But first i have to do the whole cleaning / moving, so the links will work properly.

Ok, cleaning and moving is finished now. All map or campaign refering threads have been moved from the library to the maphaven.
First sticky thread created, "Help in campaigns".
others still to come...

I've rated a dozen threads in the Temple of Ashan as "unrelated". They deal with the new map editor so I felt they belonged here.
Naturally, the rating should be changed if you move them.

I can't move them, coz I don't mod the temple. If there is a need to move specific threads form there, please contact a mod of that forum to move it here, then I can work it out.
