woah! this is the first time i've been able to post anything! i love HOMM3, it's been the main game in my family for as long as i can remember. glad to be in the community, hope I can contribute!

Hello everyone. I've been playing HoMM and M&M series for as long as i can remember.
Mostly a casual player , playing with my friends or family , but i used to play some multiplayer long time ago.
May this game and its community never die.
PS. Also , a musician here , i've been busy reorchestrating most of HoMM's music ( i can play lots of homm tunes on various instruments too ).

I'm new here, also, but figured I'd respond to you and say hi. I did my initial post myself a few weeks ago and nobody replied so figured I would do so myself at least (same to the previous poster, as well - hello). I don't spend a lot of time on forums/etc. and actually only posted because I had a question, but was a little surprised no one at least said hi or anything.
I'm a musician also, hadn't thought about trying to learn to play the pieces or do any arranging, that's really cool you are doing that. What instruments are you doing that on? If you are using a midi program or something for the pieces you are doing, you should post the results somewhere - it'd be fun to read notes and play it from that.

HOMM5 questions
Hello,
I bought the Amazon HOMM5 download and installed on a 16GB i7 Win7 system. It says v 1.5 but no apparent way to check for updates - is that current?
It runs fine so far - 3rd tutorial map - except that it almost never lets me exchange troops. Once when it did allow exchange, it let me exchange back but then wouldn't allow the same exchange again - is there a trick to it?

Hi there everyone! This is my first message on the forum. I've been following it for years, for every now and then I get hooked on all the dreaming about my own version of the factions and so. I started playing HOMM when I was like 10 or so, beginning with the very first one (without counting King's Bounty), and have always remained a devoted follower of the series, even though the last installments fail to fulfill my expectations.
As most of you, I would consider H3 to be the best one (although I have never liked how the rivalry between angels and demons usurped titans and dragons'). However, if I could create my "ultimate" version, if that ever is achievable, it would include many aspects from H2 and H4 for sure.
Well, enough of introducing myself! Let's hit the posts! See you around (even if I turn out to write just occasionally, I'll probably be around). Long live HOMM!

Hello everyone! 
I have been on HC for a while, so I am not necessarily a newcomer. But I never did post here first, so allow me introduce myself.
I am MeKick, a mediocre streamer who loves Heroes of Might and Magic III. I started playing the game roughly 15 years ago, and to this day it still remains one of my all-time favorites. In recent years, I learned a lot more about the game thanks to watching others stream the game, but I acknowledge that there is much left for me to learn.
However, with a lack of streamers who commentate in English, I started streaming Heroes III on a regular basis (starting every Sunday, 10AM PDT/19:00 CEST) @ http://www.twitch.tv/theknownworld/.
Furthermore, the next stream will be in 28 hours. It will be a 20-HOUR stream, where I try each of the games from Heroes of Might and Magic 1-5.
So that's just a bit about me. Once again, it is a pleasure to meet you all.

I have tried all the sequels but number 3 remains on top hands down.

Hello everyone, Heroes 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. I also enjoyed Heroes 3,4 and 5. I discovered this forum many years ago while searching for answers to problems I was having with Heroes 5.
This is truly a great place and I hope to add to this with my knowledge and experience if I can.

Hi, HC!
Long time lurker here, I've played Heroes III since I was a kid. It's, of course, my favorite "Heroes", but I also like IV a lot. I've also played II, V and a little bit of VI.
I mainly joined the forum for the off-topic discussion, though, since other internet sites and forums mostly bore me.

Hi everyone, first post here (but I lurked alot).
I came here to discuss H7's progress, future, and kill time before the game is released.
So far,I have:
-played Heroes 2, 3, 4 and 5 and I love them all, playing 5th actively up to this day
-tried to play H6 at friend's, and we all gave up several hours later
-been calling H6 garbage ever since, wanna mention this early on 
-a feeling that future of Heroes is uncertain, and that recent editions twisted the core of the game too much
-a wish to contribute with my opinion on why I think that Heroes went off track and how to get it back on the track (because love).
That's about it (aside the wish to remain a Tavern Dweller by title)

Hello HC! Longtime HOMM player here. I've played all of them except the first one.
I guess you all know by now H7 is coming. So, I've been lurking the web about the game for quite some time. Fixed my eye on this here community for its (seemingly) mature atmosphere of (mostly) respectful bashing of each others opinions. Seems like a place to stay.
