Just imagine the grand master ability in both skills at level 10, while your enemy is probably trying to build a hero with basic or advanced in 2 or 3 dfferent skills 
I´ve too agree with the strongholds hero bing stronger once and since i also belive that the strongholds monster will be very good and will be produced quickly i defenitly have to go with stronghold in multiplay, but thats much beacuse you usually play small maps where rush tactics pay off really good...
Playing against the Ai i would prefer Acadamy since i´ve more time to build on the hero and the magic seems to be fairly good...also the creature seemss to be good, just dont hope the castle is as expensive as the old tower, that would totaly ruin the day....

I used to prefer the shooty-type-towns in H3 and I like at least lvl4 magic so I hardly ever played the Fortress or the Inferno and the Magogs were obviously stupid so I never upgraded them; nothing like frying your own guys! I hope they fix that in H4.

Hmmm...
I can't choose yet. In HOMM 3 I played Tower and Necopolis a lot, so I guess Academy and Necropolis in HOMM 4 will be what I play most, but still, I don't know...

It will have to be the Academy, I just love human like creatures and my fave were the humans in towns in heroes I, II and III.
