H5 =big joke
ll all are expecting H5 to be superb!!! but I say yhat nothing special will come out. it'll propabbly be nothing better that h4 lol!!!! One thing that realy bugs me about h5 is it's graphical uniqueness which was lost in h4 and now in h5 hmm well I can say it looks 100% warcraft to me!!!!!!! dod they forget the basic thing about h5 popularity : unique graphics and very good game specifics!!!! most pf players don't care about superb graphics , they just want that the game would be interesting 2 play !!! but I think they forgot it and I bet h5 will be a h4 and warcraft mix !! if ya don't agree woth me feel free to say that

as i have said before

as i have said before
graphics for a game are good to have but shouldnt overhadow the gameplay and story
I agree with ya completely on thi one !!!! about graphix hmmm well so how it'll work out and mabe I'll change my mind

I won't cry if they give me cool 3d graphics... if the game have the heroes felling that is enoug for me... also I don't want a game in the 2006 based on technology of 1997... this kind of changes must happen with the time...

Yes exactly! With modern graphics technology, pixel and vertex shader 3.0, super AA and transparency AA, graphics cards with 24 pixel pipes, and GPUs with more transistors in them than high end CPU's, you cant expect a game manufacturer to produce a game in 2006 with 2D graphics that can be rendered on a graphics card from 1995. It just aint gonna happen. But, I agree that if HOMM V sucks it will be because of crappy game play not because of the graphics. I hope (and believe) that Ubisoft will put as much effort into the gameplay as they will into the graphics.

also I expect to no have to use a card like this  you are talking about RADEON X850 XT ... that is a little bit expensive in my country , But I guess my 256MB 9600 pro can handle with heroes V

Thats the same card I have too  It works very well for most the games I play now but I am planning on building a complete new system before Homm V is released.

I think that HOMM3 and HOMM4 must split HOMM series on 2 branches...
HOMM3 fans NEWER accept Hero on battle field (But accept catapult ballista e.t.c. )
HOMM4 fans wish more than 1 hero in army to make battles more interesting.
I think that in HOMM 4 concept present some failed desisions (Like fog of war ar alloving travell small groups of monsters around map, 4+ heroes in party, autoresurrect e.t.c...) but idea is GREAT and can't be simple gone.
May be developers undestand it after 3-rd Disciples or somsing like that.

about h5:
well dudes some of ya talks are true but still I don't expect h5 to be a big hit!!!!!!!!!! couldt they have just improved h3 alot made it's grapgics more modern, more monsters,towns, some changes in skills(eliminating or making them veaker). I don't like the whole hero's fighting thing lol it's just not right!!!!!!! about traveling troops and caravans best ideas ever!!!!! so what can I say creators should have maded h5 like h3 and called it "H5 the rebirth of h3"hehehehe

I actually don't think the graphics are very good, especially in a game which thrives on detail. Think about it, the generally agreed upon 'best HOMM game' is H3 which has incredibly detailed units and environment.
However making the jump to 3D graphics means sacrificing some of this detail to make it 3D, because we don't have the technology yet to have both. I think that H5 will be like a bridge game, graphically speaking, one which we have to endure to get to the otherside which is better technology with 3D detailed graphics.
Well they are detailed in this, but still boxy and kinda Warcraftish.
Don't get me wrong, I think it'll be an awesome game, but still.

I could still play HOMM3 as if its one of my favorite games. I only wish there is much longer campaines (grr spelling), and/or continuation campaines with predeveloped heroes (gelu particularly)
By the time i get a PC again I hope a Homm has longer indepth hero development. Graphics I can go with or without although 4bit games are lacking.

well they are saying that this is a totally new world... so all the old heroes history is nothing to do with heroes V... has been said that they decided this becuase they don't want to make any mystake with the original heroes history...
but they also said there will be old heroes in this new world... maybe not with the same history but they will be there anyway
