Modding Heroes 3?
I am not new to heroes universe but I just came into this neck of the woods to see what WOG is all about. So I see all this modding (or whatever you guys call it) I have done lots of modding in the past with games like this so I was wondering how do you mod Heroes 3? Is there a specific program needed to extract the files like other games or a program to install them?

Dissassembling the main game file? i thought the unit "rules" were in the data archive, still, u trace the unit or value using dissasmbler, it's like stone age era... :-) lol

If you want add new unit you must pack def into the h3sprite.lod and add it by editing exe file (Acid told me that, I dont tried yet, I have better method  ) and add new value bla bla bla
If you want to change old you just must pack the new file changing the old, maybe there is some kind of tutorial if you will search in the google

You forgot to mention Borland C++, from where images was taken ;-) - here is a lot of other useful stuff like BITLIB.zip or http://www.wotsit.org/search.asp (format definitions) and from historical reasons here is also modhomm
