The recruitment screen puts all the 1x1 creatures on one row and all the 2x2 creatures on the other row. That doesn't mean that the Matrons are lv4 tho, they're just 1x1.

The stats says that Black Dragon is the strongest. But Arch Devil can Summon Balor. So maybe in battle, Arch Devil (with same number with the Black Dragon) can defeat it.

They should change it. If it will be like that you won't know which creature is which level. They should at least mark them.

Its the ordinary Black dragons vs. Titans from Heroes II. And I who thinked that the strongest creature should be archangel who was planed to be incvicebile. Aperently they removed it! (Good, it was overpowered)

anyways I've come to conclusion that the black dragon it is 
...and btw Acadamy isn't that great...first 3 lvls suck imo the mages are aight and the other ones are ok too but I personally think Dungeon is better and the elfs b/c of their high initiative so yeah 
neways blacky the black dragon

IMO Dungeon seems pretty weak. They do have ranged lv 1, hit & run, and minotaurs, but their unit weekly growth is quite low. Weekly growth of minotaurs, even with double strike, deal surprisingly below average damage. The Shadow Witches also have low growth, and are really killed easily. Hydras probably won't do much damage, but they have lots of HP plus regen.
On the other hand, the Riders and Dragons seem pretty powerful.

I think Titans are the strongest unit.
Mainly because they can easily wipe out Black Dragons (if used sensibly and tactically), and they have good damage 40-60 i think, they are immune to certain spells, have good Attack and Defense skills and they are ranged attackers.
So Titan is the strongest in my opinion.

so like two ppl voted for the titans and most for the black dragons so my opinion stays unchanged..blackies still rule b/c I mean come on implosion would just mass kill so many titans or u can curse them or lower their defence...u can't do those things to a black draong...sure u can bless titans too but still, dragons do have more hp and they can reach the titans in one turn..

The Titans can reach them in one turn aswell. With a Lightning bolt.
I would rather stay where I am and attack rather than going to the enemy and killing 2 units and then being attacked by every unit that they have left.

but when the titans will shoot first they'll deal a small amount of dmg since the blackies are going to be far away and the the black draongs have more hp lol k neways I just dragons more...titan's look cool in HV but I don't like them...nvr really did so I'm just gonna argue non stop taht they are better lol but every1 has their own opinions and their fav cratures..

I actually used to love the Black Dragons, they were my fav unit. But when I got the full version I saw the Titans and they became my fav unit since I used them more and more.
I admit I really like the Black Dragons, but now I think Titans are better.

The strongest unit in H5
Hi all ! It's my 1st post on this site . I'm a huge HMM fan 10 years already and think that H5 will be the most nice part of series . Basing on beta impressions , I think , that Black Dragons are the stringest creatures in H5 , especialy when they activate the elemental chain combo points , created earlier by assasins . My personal record with them was 15 BD had killed 3150 sceleton archers by one strike ! I think no one unit can do even something compairable to it .

 woah lol can u explain how to use the elemental chain combo, cause I really don't get how it works and what it really is :S??

I agree with Miru & William/ Titans rule! In HOMM V there is, again, a classic Titan VS. Black Dragon conflict. Although both are very strong, the Titan takes the match.
Lets look at the subject that way: dragons have more HP and are faster, but Titans are ranged, don't have melle penalty, do A LOT of damage and have better growth rate. Overall ranged units are more effective tacticaly and charging the enemy with black dragons is not smart, as after they kill or damage a single stack every other unit of the enemy, ranged or not will swarm them. A ranged unit, especialy a powerfull one such as the Titan can attack from a far and kill his enemy before it gets close enought for melle. And another thing: Spell imunnity is a double edged sword. On the one hand no harmfull or negative spell can touch you, but on the other hand good spells such as Bless, Heal or Resurect don't effect you as well.
So to conclude: Titans are the best!

sigh...this arguement can go on for ever...ppl who like titans will come up with anything to prove that titans are better and for dragon ppl its' vise versa...let's just say they are equal

hehe it took me like years to admit that agels were stronger than black dragons in heroes III so let's not try this again lol
