Chess!

Well, im a not so good chess player. But in this game im think i made a good straight attack with some fine thing in it, and i want to share them. Maybe some other will do too!

In the first pic you see the game after a normal opening. The right side is not good developed on both sides. On his turn he opened the middle with a pawn to get a strong pawn to go to ground line. Instead of rehitting the pawn, i decided to put the Queen into a good position and giving a "mate threat". He decided to protect the threatened pawn with the tower. Maybe hes now aware that he let one of my pawns well protected to near to his King.

After this i decided to take the pawn. A good player i think maybe wouldnt do that. In this case it might would have been a "speed loss" to the initial attack. After this he made a fault. He put his King into the corner. Maybe he wanted to get another Tower into this corner for further protection. With this move the game was lose for him! I moved my Queen and it looks like an attack on the tower, while the real threat is into "binding" the pawn. Mate within 4 turns is fixed.

He decided to protect the tower with another tower. Check with the horse. He cant take the horse with the binded pawn. If he takes the horse with the other horse the pawn comes down, his pawn still binded and next turn is check mate. So he decided to move the King, thinking that he may lose a tower, but maybe still come away with it.

Instead of this i killed the pawn with the Queen...SACRIFICING the Queen...hes in check and have to take the Queen.

He took the Queen now check with the Tower. His King can only go back. Tower goes to ground line protected by the horse. Check mate!

That's not a normal opening. After a normal opening both sides are more or less equal. In this game, on the other hand, white's position is so hopeless its not even funny. If he isn't a complete noob, then you did a good job at putting him in such a position. After move 20 you could probably do a couple of moves back and forth with your king and still win, lol.

Iīm not that big chess player, but are u sure itīs a checkmate in 4 moves?
If white would take your horse with his horse, you will take his horse with your pawn then. And now, white moves his pawn h2-h3. Doesnīt look too well either, but no mate...or do i miss something here?

There's a way to set checkmate in a few moves.. But it all depends on the opponent how to perform and the succes of it.. So no strategy always works.

This is a small proggy from www.schach.de ,which is originally a German site, organized by the German Chess Association.

The programm is for free for approx. the first three months. It is very popular and international, cause it always screens all international tournaments, so u can follow for example games made by world champions. Additional to this the games are watched against cheaters which use chess programms to get into high ranks. Some of the very best international players are visiting this site on a regular basis.

Beside this the game looks good on screen and it is fun to play against international opponents. But u need registration to talk into puplic chat room or if a certain time is exceeded.

If u play there one day please let me know and we will do some games.

PS: Ive just watched it ...there is an english mirror:

I signed up. Nick in Nebs...but xar, I'm a bit lousy.

Spending the day losing, heh.

But interesting, got one player to challenge me, on 1 min game. Ok, lost first, 1 min chess might be worse than Heroes limit of 2 mins per turn.

Then he ask for another, no prob, lost second. Again he asked. Again I lost, and once more. And then I won, and again won, and again won, and "so and so player closed window" message appeared.
