2V2

Hello,

Today we are going to speak about 2v2 :-))

Jebus is the first and more popular template used for 2v2. However, in the last game we made, that it is L no U, or XL no U. It looks like the random often makes bugs: i.e. with the 3rd castle being in the desert, or being common between 2 players with no blockers between :-((

QUESTION !

1. Is it true that taking only castles instead of other stronghold, fortress etc. will give a better template ?

2. In the case we want to take another that the castle, that we know by heart and that I find less challenging to play, what is the way or possibility to have a good map

3. Can some of you share your experience and advise about what other templates can give a good game in 2v2 , taking f.e. 1 stronhold 1 fortress 1 rampart 1 tower

I indeed heard that other templates like skirmish, marathon gave better results ..
It would be good to have an exhaustive list of all templates that can be used for it

Finally, those who like and wish to participate in 2v2 in the week end can let me know, if they wish to be contacted and make one from time to time. This in order to have a list of people to contact, in case. And be able to make appointments beforehand.

Cheers
Nicolas

No, these bugs apear indiferent of the castle u pick. Onlu difference is when u play maps with underground, so when someone picks a castle whose native terrain is in UG the map is totally broken

Neigher skirmish nor marathon don't work in 2 vs 2 games. U could try vortex, midnight mix or Angelito's fiesta instead.

Thanks Tigris,

Hey I am looking in TOH site now, and I also see this ..

- Around A Marsh Sizes: XL only [updated 01Sept03]
4 players only, relatively speedy game, designed specially for allied wars.
- Triad is for 3FFA, (interesting to know :-))) )
- Vortex for 3 or 4
- Midnight Mix also for 4 indeed
as you said.

Sorry I always mix up, skirmish with midnight mix, don't know why ...

Ok I think for the next time we will try one of those ..
And see what it gives he he
