Them Shadow Dragons...
Okay, I haven't participated in the open beta, but I've been folllowing the whole process. I looked at the full buildings list, and was amazed to see Necropolis having a +1 Bone/Shadow Dragon growth thingy.
Now, seeing as how the Bone/Shadow Dragons cannot stand up normally to the other high-levelled units, you'd think the Necropolis' high growth in the lower regions, and the Shadow Dragon's ability to 'dodge' certain attacks from time to time would make the Necropolis still be up par with the other castles.
But now that Necropolis gets 3 (if Castle included) Shadow Dragons, is that still fair to the others? Necropolis will have a LV1 swarm already anyway, so do they really need this boost?
I would like all sorts of opinions on this, including opinions of those who participated in the beta. Thanks.

i didn't play the beta yet but and i do not know how strong theese creatures really are in h5 but a bigger growth per week i think gives and end to the biggest of the necropolis' disadvantages, the week creatures of the ultimate level, compared to the other factions...
it is something like the stronghold in h4.
i think it is accepted but i hope it costs much gold to build it.
i wouldn't want to face a hole army of bone dragons in the early game...

The uncorporeal ability would give Necro dragons a big advantage vs. neitrals , but not so sufficient against other hero because shadow dragons ( and ghosts ) will be a first target for destructive spells and the last one for physical attack .
However I think that adding a physicaly resisting or absorbing units is great feature . I love direct damage spells and very glad to see its more useful than in previous parts of HMM .

The growth rate compensates for the weakness, but it doesn't unbalance the game. It takes a lot of resources even to get the Dragon dwelling (20,000 gold, 20 wood, 15 ore, 15 mercury, 5 gems and 5 crystal), so being swarmed by Shadow Dragons is not a real threat. Any way the numerical superiority doesn't guarantee a victory, as these creatures will be the first targets for enemy magic that will make quick work of them. It is like HOMM III when the weaker creatures of the 7th level (Hydra, Behemoth, Bone Dragon) got a 50% growth boost, but we still had balance
