i think you have to get to like Level 27-29 to get the ultimate skills.. so yeah not ever gonna happen in MP

This gives me an idea for down the road once MP is working better and we have a map editor. It does appear that in order to get the ultimate skill you would have to really work for it and I like that the designers have done this. There is actually a game element that will rarely if ever come into play. However, I'll bet I'm not alone in being curious about seeing this in an actual game situation and having 2 players working toward it to secure the demise of the other.

So what I think would be cool is for a couple Very Big maps to be designed that would allow for this situation to happen. Can you imagine the size and strength of the heroes and armies after attaining those kinds of levels? I think that would be a really fun game to play and end battle to fight.

I remember back in the first season or two Ves had made a map (Least I'm fairly sure he was the designer.) called Arena that was huge and took quite a while to play. For this reason, games played with this map counted as 2 games played instead of just 1. I think something similar could work here. I think the biggest reason the huge maps have never been popular to play is because it simply takes too long to finish them in MP. In the time you play one giant map you can play 2 or 3 or more normal maps depending on whether they are open or closed. So I propose making it worth players while to play on these larger maps and give the Ultimate Skill the chance to come into play.

Instead of having a game count as 2 just change the points awarded instead. One of the drawbacks to Arena counting as 2 was if you lost it you also lost 2 games and possibly a whole chunk of points for one long game so as far as I know almost no one actually played it. What might work better is rewarding both players for playing the huge maps by doubling the points for the winner (Still one win but the reward of extra points.) and for the loser cutting the points lost in half or perhaps even losing none at all. I think this could work and bring a whole area of play to the tournament there's never been before, particularly for those players who enjoy playing each other over and over so much. Add in the chance of the Ultimate Skill coming into play and some huge final battles and I think you have a recipe for some great games. I know I'd be interested in playing one now and then.

One final thing is perhaps a medal could be awarded after X number of huge maps played that added to prestige.

I'm curious what others think about this love, like, or hate it.

Um...Hourglass XL

I love big maps...the bigger the better and with many paths to large rewards. Epic maps allow you to breed super heroes with mass armies and make for massive fun battles

An added advantage would be training heroes to their full potential before raiding the enemy!
I totaly agree with  Bobby

I was reading about how hard getting one of those super skills are in another thread & how it just really makes the whine to get them.
If it is that hard to get one of those skills then i am up for it.
Makes the game more challenging & online.

Shouldnt have to get everythang so easily in every game you play.
If you get lucky enough to get one of those skills, then you probally earned it.
I read about it but i still never seen the game

Yeah1 playing game is also the skill....
