Fan Fiction section opened on AoH
With a first submission by Daystar, we are opening the Fan Fiction section on Age of Heroes. You can submit your stories in .txt, .doc or .html format. If they are accepted for publication, we'll take care of the layout.

Might be interesting.I have read some pretty good stories from there and I'd say it's worth to take a look.After all they cover all genres from comedy to drama and lengths from a few lines to several pages.

A nice one.
The beginning starts as in the hands of a great author. The details, the description of moods and emotions. Very appealing.
After awhile the battle begins, and everything moves more hastily. It is understood, because it is a short story after all. But the change from the beginning was too much for me (personally). The dialogues were quite unoriginal, but not bad. The succubus dialogue on the otherhand reminded me of the fun of mixing genres, that was a good one. More humour was with the King...that was funny too.
I liked very much all the ingame details that were mentioned, like Ylthin for example.
I liked you focusing on the sound aspect also, instead of the most common vision. The more sences the more vivid the scene that forms in ones mind when reading it.
But some oddities too...like "Senam, you will benefit because you will not be killed for letting a vampire kill a child." Ok, this one strikes as highly doubtful method for the peaceful elves. But if that is so (perhaps something just for this remote tribe of elves?) it needs some explanation. And the pentagram used in the ritual was kind of weird, as it is used for summoning spirits and for protection...And of course in literature in anything demonic. An association to druidic magic is not the first one that comes in mind.
I did like the beginning style the best. But thats just me  What could have worked, there could have been a little flashback to the youth of Senam in the middle of the fight, like something had triggered his memory...
Oh and just remembered, it was nice that there were differences in the characters wording (it could be more radical though), like the vampire always having that "no?"
Ok, I'll stop now..it was a great read!

@ everyone: I'm sorry It's taking so long to upload the next chapter, but I thought of a really good plot twist that I couldn't resist, so I'm having to rework the story to implement that. I should have the whole thing up soon.*
*Soon: a word which here means "Hopefully before christmas"
