Riddle

Kooka flipped the tent flap open and surveyed the scene.

On the floor, in the centre of the tent, a man lay dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
In the corner of the tent was a small cot.
A package of cigarettes and an empty whiskey bottle lay on the bedside table next to the kerosene lamp.

The only other items Kooka found at the scene were 6 small circular wooden disks under the cot, the man's personal effects, and a variety of scrapbooks and news clippings.

She found the last items strange as the suicide victim was completely illiterate.

What was the reason for the suicide?

Was it related to whatever-it-was-before being sawed into those wooden discs?
YES!

Were the wooden discs part of a staff or a stick before they were cut?
Did the man need it for his job (to entertain people)?
Was it used to perform acrobatic stunts?
Did the man perform acrobatic stunts?

Was the man being deceived by more than one person?
Was it that person(s) who cut the discs?
Did that person(s) work in the circus as well?

I want to find out more about the thing the disks are made from.

Were the disks less than 1cm think?
Were the disks approx 1cm think?
Were the disks more than 1cm think?

Was the object rod shaped? (close to same diameter the whole length)

Was the object straight?

Was it a cane or walking stick?

After the disks were cut, was there any of the original object left over?

If there was anything left over, was the portion used for the disks more than half of the original object?

(Of course there will be follow up questions to this. So you could save a lot of yes/no questions by telling me how long the thing was. Because I WILL figure out the length this way)

If the disks had not been cut, would the reason for killing himself no longer exist?

The original object was his, but not cut by him.  Was the cutting of the disks meant to be malicious or harmfull to him?

Was the cutting of the disks intentional?

Was there some sort of prank or practical joke involved?

Were the disks related to him being a midget?

Did he kill himself BECAUSE the disks were cut?

*clears throat and nods to the conductor*

here's a llama
there's a llama
and another little llama
fuzzy llama
funny llama
llama llama
duck

llama llama
cheesecake
llama
tablet
brick
potato
llama
llama llama
mushroom

llama llama

i was once a treehouse
i lived in a cake
but i never saw the way
the orange slayed the rake
i was only three years dead
but it told a tale
and now listen, little child
to the safety rail

did you ever see a llama
kiss a llama
on the llama
llama's llama
tastes of llama
llama llama
duck

half a llama
twice the llama
not a llama
farmer
llama
llama in a car
alarm a llama
llama
duck

is THIS how it's told now?
is it all so old?
is it made of lemon juice?
doorknob
ankle
cold
now my song is getting thin
i've run out of luck
time for me to retire now
and become a duck

llama song
(best when drinking)

did somebody continuously slice the bottom off the midgets walking stick, leading him to believe that he was growing, leading him to believe that eventually he would lose employment at the circus, and because he was illiterate (and unable to find a living somewhere else) he would have no way to make a living, thus leading him to kill himself out of futility?

*pauses from cleaning his gun*

What? An assassin? Me? Never.

Cutting the cane to seem like he was getting taller was the direction I was heading.  But I can't quite put the pieces together. (pun not intended)

He was a midget and his performance depended on him being short.

The only motivation I can think of is that his competitor did it.  Either that or he was so popular someone got jealous.

Shortest man in the world?

Go ahead and hog.  My sister read this thread and has some for me from another forum, but I don't have them yet. Or she might join and post them herself.  (I suspect she's been lurking for a long time spying on big brother)
