That's very nice, watcher.

I liked the first one.
I just can't get how Medusa turns into Gorgon.
There's allready witch in the Dungeon.
And just a small tip: change your town name.
It sounds too much like Haven.

Your orcs town was excellent!
I would change the Warrior's name.
Mabey to Orc Warrior or Ogre, your decision in the end.
But like that it sounds like Haven creature.

And about the third town... I didn't get the point.
It like a combination between Haven and Academy.
All the creatures don't seem like a one group...

But the 1st and the 2nd I like.
Keep on with the good work, watcher!

Medusa IS a Gorgon. In Greek mythology there were three Gorgons, and Medusa was the name of one of them. Heroes III gorgons were idioticly represented as bulls for no apparent reason. All gorgons looked like Medusa.

You are right.
But in HOMM, Medusas and Gorgons are completely different creatures.
Gorgons are like oxes, while Medusas are more like Half women with snakes as a hair and half reptile.

A normal player would never guess they are almost the same place.

GenieLord is right though, i think that the 3rd race is a bit pointless, the others look good, and the gorgon bit, its far to cimplicated for any normal gamers to really care about

Thanks for your suggestions
I will think for something else instead of harbour, and another name for the tier3 orc unit.
I thought of the gorgon as a bigger meaner medusa not the ox from h3, which although was a good unit, here in Ashan an amphibian cow doesn't make sense to me.
The free cities are known as trade cities and since we all now that trade involves a mixture of all things i thought that the humans whorshipping Sylath should have some creatures allied with them...
The reason I made this town is the myth of creation:
"SYLATH, The Dragon of AIR
The silvery-white dragon of Air is the keeper of secrets, for he sees all and hears all. However, he is frivolous (“flighty”) and impetuous.
He values quick thinking and spontaneity, but also useless complexity, which sometimes leaves him frustrated and condescending toward his older siblings, who just don’t “get it”.
He is mostly worshipped by travellers, bards, spies, but also mummers, courtiers, rakes and thieves, and even some wizards (for his extensive arcane knowledge but also his tendency to make even the simpler facts appear “hermetic”).
He is the patron deity of the Humans (the youngest race, as he is the youngest dragon) but has been supplanted by his elder brother Elrath, the Dragon of Light, in the Holy Griffin Empire.
Sylath is still very popular among the Northern Barbarian tribes and Eastern Free Cities however (not united enough to form a faction)."

Since i believe that there will sure be a faction whorshipping Sylath I think the free cities are my best guess since the orcs are known for not whorshipping any dragon.
If you have suggestions on the faction whorshipping Sylath I'd like to hear them, but they have to be realistic according to what we already know about Ashan.

I think do you a very nice job.
But you focus too much on a faction which isn't good.
Focus on the 1st and the 2nd faction.

This story is good! Don't let a bad faction to destroy it!
You got my point!
Focus on your good creations!

About the racial skills...
Wisdom would grant the hero 15% more mana for basic wisdom, 25% more mana for advance and 40% for expert.(ultimate skill - adamantine scales - each creature in hero's army has it's defense raised by 50%)
Warfare would improve the attack, speed and initiative of creatures in the hero's army. (ultimate skill - blood lust - each creature has it's attack increased by 75%).
Guildmaster - would be an economic skill providing more gold and resources. - since the free cities of the east have important trade routes. (ultimate skill - free trade - each week the hero receives 2000 gold, 2 wood, 2 ore, 1 crystal, 1 gem, 1 sulfur and 1 mercury).
I'm still working on them...

that seems good. however, why does everyone associate the naga with magic?

this sounds like a typical stronghold racial skill

that was along the lines that i was thinking. but it was called industrialised and was about getting resources from mines more effiecently.

the free trade is still in development, what you say about extracting more from mines might also work.
Some ideas about neutral creatures:
in the orcish lands there would be ogres(lv4-5 unit); trolls(throwing stones since the cyclop would be a melee unit - lv3 -4 unit);harpies and centaurs.
as a demonic neutral creature the efreet would fit in nicely.
.....still to come

now to answer your question - why does everyone link the naga with magic- , because of the description of their patron dragon god from the myth of creation.
"SHALASSA, The Dragon of WATER
The blue Dragon of Water is humble, quiet and secretive. She is the serene mystic, wisest of the dragons, and her knowledge is only second to her sister Malassa, the Dragon of Shadow, for her watery realm is ripe with forgotten lore and treasure.
In all things, she values diplomacy, versatility and adaptability. Yet, if she decides to act, she is swift and indomitable. You cannot hope to win when you are fighting the waves…
Shalassa is worshipped by the sailors, fishermen and pirates, but also by the prophets, hermits and wisemen.
She is the patron-deity of the Nagas."

ah, she may be the wisest, but does that mean she is the most gifted in magic?

wisdom can apply to alot of things, including sailing, fighting, craftmanship and drinking (be wise about your limits, you lightweight!), not just to magic.

Shalassa values diplomacy, so that could be a racial skill, some kind of diplomancy improvement, and the hero could be a senator.

well...
Story(part of it - still working)
The orcs are scattered around Ashan. When they escaped slavery some settled in the the islands of the Jade Ocean, some fled to the deserts south west of the Silver Cities but most of them went to the steppes of north east in Ranaar where together with other races(goblin, cyclop) they established an warrior state. They hate humans and demons alike. They hate humans (especially wizards) because they made them slaves using them as mere tools. They worship no Dragon God because they want nothing in common with the other races. They hate demons because their blood boils in their veines reminding them of their darker side. They leave at peace with anyone for as long they are left alone. they have no affinity for magic, brute force being the key element of their army.

some facts
they are the basic neutral town. no affinity for good or evil; the stronghold would look much like the one from homm4.
The barbarian hero would start with 4 attack;1 defense;0 spell power; 0 kowledge.
warfare - the racial ability would increase the troops attack.
the three skills deriving from warfare would be:
1.demon blood (resistance 45% to fire for all the units except the paokai)
2.speed (increases the speed of all the units in heroes army by 2)
3.warcry (increases damage of all units in hero's army)
the ultimate skill :
bloodrage - every creature in heroes army gets 2 extra attacks
(for example the hunter shoots twice, with this ability it would shoot 4 times).
