No, the map is not so great but I have to make some advertising campaign in order to force you download it... I made a thread about my map but it was called "The 100th thread in the Library!" so obviously no one was interested... I think you don't even know what was written in that thread. And here it is:
I made a Heroes 3 map. Alas, it is for the Shadow of Death so the poor Preserver can't play it... It's not a great map but it shows the Balkan peninsula and I hope that it is interesting. I heard that you should play-test it at first and then it will be uploaded to a map site... But if you don't want to play it, don't do that! (it seems that I'm not a good advertiser). So you can play my map. If you want to do that, you will have to wait for Preserver to do something OR go to the "The 100th thread in the Library!" and download it from there.

I played Greece as Rampart and I conquered the Balkans!!!
...great job on the map (it could be bigger though)... now it only needs some events and a plot... I can help if you wish...
...the (upper and central) greek part is kinda empty and could use some grass (along with resources or map locations)... but generally it's a very good map...

Yes, I see that the Greek region is larger than the others... But it's also not large enough to split it into two. But I think that it's not so important whi has larger area. The eight country areas contain absolutely equal structures and the difference is that in Greece you have to walk a bit more...
The main problem, I think, is that Slovenia and Romania are too isolated. Who will play with them? Actually I haven't tried.
About the events - what could they be? I can't use them well. What are your suggestions?

I tried to download but it said it was version 28 map editor and mine was version 21 so it was incompatible. Is there and update I'm unaware of? Or is this SOD?

I think that almost no one has played my map so far. Well, it's SoD... I didn't think it was such a problem.
Are there any volunteers? Or do you think that I'm a terrible mapmaker?

Revived, revived, but too late! (this is a construction from Bulgarian - repeat a word in order to emphasize on it and always there is a "but" following - this construction is used to say that the thing is not as it had to be. By the way, this is not used in the formal speech)
So revived, revived, but too late! Now there is no one that will care about a simple Heroes 3 map since Heroes 4 is knocking on the door...

Well, has the map been playtested yet?
I come from a school of thought that says playtesting is a crucial part of mapmaking - from a forum where one calls for playtesters initially, and announces the map's release for everyone to play a few weeks (even months) later. But then I hang out around the AstralWizard site, where playtesting is compulsory - a policy I'm glad to see shared by other sites; I know MapHaven will do the same thing.

Greece - elfs!
Romania - have to be NECROS, right?
are we barbarians (I mean - Bulgaria)
Serbia, Macedonia, Hrwtsko, Slovenia - and the others? what are they?
Conflux - who is the Conflux
opps.. and Turkey - they must be Inferno - well, what the hell - why I don't know.
and Black sea - is my town - Burgas included? aaah... i wannat it

Preserver hasn't come for a long time... So maybe he has done some changes and deleted the directory or someone else has done that? Anyway, it seems that my map has no chance to be seen anymore...
And, alas, Burgas is not on the map. There are Athens, Istanbul, Bari (yes, a part of Italy is seen on the map), Sofia, Bucharest, Tirana, Belgrade and Ljubljana. There was no space for more towns.

yes also for hamsi, the Inferno buildings reminds me of muslim temples, though I know muslims are also afraid of the devil, like christians.
