Also, I forget to say, Grayface MM patches fix tons of bugs, they are a must install before any MOD.

Playing through might and magic VII again...again (had a save but I cloned my harddrive and it disappeared QQ).
My old party was K.A.T.S. pretty solid, but my new party is sooooo much better, playstyle as well as comp enjoyability R.M.P.D (Ranger, Monk, Paladin, Druid) to the point that I even slew the Emerald Island dragon (without glitches/cheats ofc). Also after about a decade and a half I realized that insanity is actually useful for your warriors (early on for stuff like paladin since you want to be able to cast heal) significantly boosting combat stats, so atm I got 3 insane party members ^^'.

How did you slay the dragon this time around?
I think I've tried several ways now, but haven't played the games for more than a year now so my memory may be rusty.
I recall my first time was the same way I think it was for most people, with wands.
Second method I had a party of only Druids and Sorcs, maximizing spell points and using the most mana to damage efficient spell, which I think was fire bolt. I guess I used the contest and found an npc that gave extra to fire bolt, but since the Dragon is unique in that it doesn't have fire resist, all you need is to calculate how much mana you need to hit 1000 damage, which I think can perhaps be done at level 1.
Later again I realized I could just go with 4 clubs, heroism, bless, haste(not sure?), the resist stuff on the island and it was possible to melee the dragon, especially as it tended to attack the rats instead of me.
What do you mean by glitches/cheats? E.g. that clubs hits speed 30 is a glitch, or?

MeCorak have no fire resistence (which is wierd for a red dragon)
malwick fireball wand does havoc on him.. plus archermage combination with fire spells...

What means cannon? Or uncannon? Both are nonsensible if you watch for MMVIII and Heroes IV. We dont have Kastore there. If he built his army with blasters whats happen next? Nothing. If Ressurrectra and friends wins where are these star gates connected worlds? Nothing. "Main" storyline in MMVII is not a strong point of this game.

The planned canonical ending for Might and Magic VII was Dark Side, which was begining for Forge campaign in Armageddon's Blade. But with Forge scrapped and campaign story changed, MM7 Dark Side ending was scrapped too. So we can assume that Light Side has won a race to Lincoln and Resurectra went into stars to find the Ancients.
And here is a question about Resurectra to Jennifer Bullard, former employee of NWC:

So MM7 is the true ending of the story ark began by MM1, without Sheltem ?
Assumingly because (among other) Blasters and Ancients had disappeared since MM8...

The same persons ofcourse but ending? I dont think so. Its hard to tell what ends? We know nothing about Kastore and Ressurectra after. Its the same end of story like MMIII.

Yes, of course, I just began to play MM3, so Sir Caneghem, Crag hack, Resurectra and Kastore are the characters you usually play with, in the good ending of MM7 they speak about Corack leaving Terra for Xeen

Its not the same Corack! :-) Connections between MMIII and MMVII are very weak. But nice they back to old good game characters.
