I think those are suggestions. Also, I'm not a fan of ninjas. A a unit, yes. As a faction? no. It's too...
Heroes of might and magic has always been so far fetched, so apart from our world. Ninjas, and the mysticism that goes with them is just too far flung from Heroes.

I haven't written it precisely enough. Sry...
I was thinking of making FAR-EAST faction. There won't be Ninjas only- Samurais, Geyshas, Shoguns, Chineese-look Dragons and so on...

Are you suggesting we need a faction based on greek/roman mythology?
Let's see...
Dungeon already have the Hydra and the Minotaur.
Haven already have the Griffin.
Academy have the Titans.
Inferno have the Cerberus.
The Orcs will have Centaurs and Cyclopes.
That leaves you with pegasi, gorgons/medusas, fauns, harpies, a number of sea monsters and a few flesh-eating horses :-)
Oh and those bronze bird-thingies too.
What I'm trying to say is... Ashan is already saturated with greek mythology. I think other mythologies should be added a bit more.
A positive bi-effect is that we narrow-minded westeners might learn a bit more about the world outside of Europe too :-D

Dud I didn't grow up on Japanese mythology, but Slavic (you can see that readin' 'bout the Shape Shifters)...

i'm happy to do both, either, or anything!
i thought halflings would be good because they can be changed so people could have different themes for them. so they could be japanese, chinese, western american, norse, summerset, african or any one of them and many more.

I updated the first post with list of the factions of each race, where they are located, and what place they won.
If there's any problem/mistake, tell me and I'll try to fix it as soon as possible. 
For Lesij:
Your motto, "Change yourself, but remain yourself", might be better if you change it to "Change yourself, but remain you".

In my native language (Polish) It will be written as it is (Zmieniaj się, ale pozastań sob±, a nie, zmieniaj się a pozostań ty), but I'll change it, cuz you are more experienced in English than I am, I think...

If we are on the subject of the next theme...
I somewhat have personal bias against Halflings and Asian-Easter theme... as I did both of those before already... Althought they are a challenging and fun faction to do..
Another suggestion would be the Factory or Gnome/Mechanical group.
Or what about a Assassin/Theif Guild? Could have Hafling Ninja in there...

Remember, this is a special round. There are three first place, not two.
So, there are more points and more chance to get them.
The level of the works for this round is very high.

About future factions:
Actionjack - I can't see why somebody already having posted an X faction will make him or her extremely biased. It just means that you've thought of it before, and have had time to perfect it. If it comes again you will be able to make it even better than before.
Methinks recycling is good for the planet 
Which is why I stand with a proud voice and DEMAND - I mean... I stand with my Bambi eyes and ask meekly that the next faction shall be Insectoid. Pretty Please? With Sugar on top?
