Country/Kingdom: Drajeous, the island of permanent night.

Motto: "Every event leads you to the next one"

Description:
From Drajeous, the island of night, come the Beholders. They are the most mysterious creatures on Ashan. Most of the factions don't even know that they exsist.
They have many thin and long arms, huge eyes and their brain is larger than their head.
The Beholders have no different sexes.
They hide themselves in the darkness, in the shades. They move slowly but attack quickly. Attacked creatures are already dead before they understand what has just attacked them.
The Beholders have storng telepathic powers. They don't need to speak to each other. They pass their thoughts to each other.
They covered their island, Drajeous, with huge force field that surrounds it all. Solid things can pass through it, but light can't. This force field prevents entrance of light into the island, and makes permanent night on it.
Since the island cannot be seen from large distance, and boats avoid from sailing there (they see it as 'Darken Area'), Drajeous doesn't appear in the maps. The Wizards, that had war with the Beholders, know about the island's exsistance, but they don't know exactly where it is.

History:

142 YSD-Beholders Creation
Beholders were created to be the worshippers of Malassa, the mother of Darkness.

153-Malassa's decision
After they were created Malassa followed every step they did. In her observation she found out that the Beholders are very intelligent, but very agressive as well. They killed everything on their way. They mostly killed elves, destroyed their towns, etc.
Malassa understood that their exsistance is dangerous for the future of Ashan. However, she didn't want to destroy her creation.
She decided to exile the Beholders to the island Varasee (the previous name of the island Drajeous).
She decided to give the Beholders another chance. She decided to wait 10 more years, to see if the Beholders change. If they change, she won't do nothing, but if they don't change, she'll send them to Varasee.

163-The Exile
Malassa was scouting after the Beholders through all those long years. She was determined to find positive things about their presence on Ashan.
She saw that they haven't changed at all. She decided to do it-to exile them to Varasee.
On midnight, she teleported them to the far island, in the middle of Savage sea.
When the Beholders woke up at the morning, they found themselves on empty island.
They prayed for Malassa. She ignored them.
They lost their faith in her. They have always thought that she will help them at anytime. They understood that she abandoned them.

205-The Invasion
The Beholder decided to get out of the island. They saw it as a prison.
They built many boats, and looked for land in close areas. They couldn't find any.
After many long sails, they finally found land. They brought a huge army to the the place.
The place they found was the Silver Cities. They immediately attacked the suprised Wizrads, that haven't even known about the Beholders exsistance.
It was a brutal war. After almost half of every army was killed, the Wizards asked for cease fire. The Beholders refused. They wanted to win and to capture the Silver Cities.
The war took more than year. The Wizards won.

You've got one small problem: It's Malassa that's the mother of darkness.  Shalassa is water.

Dementors? I believe those are from the Harry Potter series, but still, it's a cool idea for a creature.
The mawashee is awesome. Nothing like an evil, demonic, corpse eating beast to liven up your army .

Beholders are one of my personal favorite creatures, and I don't like my personal creatures to be an entire race. I want my favorite creatures to be only 1 of a kind, not 10 of a kind.
I don't understand, if they're your favorite then that means you would want only 1 of each kind? weird (at least for me)

Also what about a mix with Beholders/Mind Flayers...? (but it still will be 50-50, so around 3 or 4 beholders of a kind btw that's only my idea)

It would be nice to cooperate with you.
And thanks.

By the way, do you have any idea for 4th level shooter/caster, who looks like H3 Evil Eye?
It's supposed to be something like Beholder Seer, but I just can't find any suitable name.

Hey GenieLord why could'n be the level 4 creature the Venom Spawn. It is as deformed and dark and "evil" and ugly...and perhaps a shooter. That shouldn't be a large creature, it's enough if it would stay on two feet and just "throwing" the venom... What do you say?
