Hamachi alternative

Since hamachi latly having so many times trouble to get in i tried to find some other solutions , My search didn't find too many options so i will sum what i find here and need to check if any of them work and if so how to get them to work.

First of all i think this thread sums up all alternatives and worth reading :

http://www.theisonews.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=123641&highlight=&sid=28e543301a616bbfe59501177f93ecca

What it got there is battle.net which can dl here:

http://www.turk3.com/Program/Battle.LAN_(for_Warcraft_3).html

The thing is it seems to be ment for warcraft 3 only and need to be tested if there is any way of it to work with homm5

the second alternative which looks more promising but also more complicated to work with is GIT download here:

http://www.morpheussoftware.net/git/

need to really set up which ports you forward from the game so need to see which ones homm5 uses.

the third is kali which in the past i used very often but didn't use it for few years now so not sure if it still exist and how it will work.

Thats it if anyone can add or get anything to work will be good.

I have both winXP and win98 but homm3 is on win98 due to some reasons. So i have real problem connecting to ppl without external IP. Also i guess 20% of homm3 players use win98.

IMO the best thing for ToH and its members is to go to the Ubi servers. Members dont necessarily have to play games using the server. For those who have problems connecting they can still utilize hamachi or whatever they want but it would create a central meeting place where most active HV online players go. It would create talk and publicity for ToH as well as make it easier for currently active members to find games. As it is right now there is no generally recognized method or place for finding ToH games, everyone is spread out and finds games using whatever method(s) they prefer which makes not only an un-united ToH community but also makes it difficult to find games a lot of times.

TOH has an offical Chatroom that is designed for everyone to meet and chat... but hardly anyone uses it... So why would we try to organize people to go to UBI... be much simpler to convince people to use the TOH chatroom that is already in place.

Yes the ToH chatroom works fine for those who know about it and who actually visit it. I go there all the time and spend a lot of time there but I rarely see more than 5 or 6 people logged on there which is exactly my point....not too many people use it. How are we going to convince people to use it if the people that already know about it and who actively play ToH games wont even use it. A new guy loggs on there, sees hardly anyone there, loggs off and never goes back. If ToH players gathered in the Ubi server anyway and arranged games there than it would influence a lot of other people who are active there to join ToH and play ToH games.

The only reason why I'm not 'advertising' on the UBI servers right now is that I lost my manual, which had that cheezy keycode to go onto UBI.  Otherwise I'd be there like I was in the past, 'ToHeroes.com game' etc...  At one point I had two computers doing that.

So you guys can do that too.  The ToH chatroom is just a lot more user-friendly, and I try to keep my computer logged on to that room as long as my computer is on.

The future is only solid if we have more potentially serious players know of ToH through UBI -- its a shame there is no 'zone' anymore.

Whatever the case, I invested some good money for 2 years of service for the ToH chatroom, so it will be there.

I use Evolve VPN and the functionality and the excellent features are the best. It supports live streaming and game streaming. Moreover, it is free, but the other version will cost you $4 a month, not a lot.
____________
I read hamachi alternative reviews online and I think Zero tier VPN is best.
